First, some hotel discount sites, TripAdvisor, Booking and Agoda, are a few good ones. Each allows search by location and price. Each site also has reviews, read them and look for problems. Once you get a list of possible hotels it's time for the next tool.
Google search for "girl friendly hotel Pattaya", you will find a few different lists. Check for the hotels on your list. Maybe you can take a few off, maybe you can add a few.
Next, search this forum for posts about the hotels on your list. There's a good chance you'll find a report for some of them. Once again, refine your list.
By this time, you should have a list of several hotels which you have decided will fit your basic needs. Now it's time to rank them.
My first step, find hotels in my price range. Location is not as important to me, but I will eliminate the hotels that are too far away from food, entertainment and transportation. Next I filter out hotels that don't have my required amenities. I insist on WiFi and AirCon. Next, I scratch off any with cleanliness or maintenance or bug issues. I don't want to spend my time sleeping with bedbugs and stepping on roaches. While I'm at it, I look for customer service problems.
After cleaning up my list through Google and forum search, I score each hotel, after I group by location. For Pattaya, I might have groups for Walking Street, Soi 6, Soi Buakhao, Soi LK Metro. How you score hotels is up to you. I score higher for king size bed, larger room, view, customer service, breakfast included, pool and decor.
After I'm finished, I have 2 or 3 hotels each in the different areas I'm considering, plus 1 or 2 outside my search area.
I tend to spend 10 to 15 hours working on a list of hotels. When I'm finished, I am certain that my hotel choice won't spoil my trip.
Each person here has their own criteria for a hotel room. Some will stay in places I wouldn't dare, some only choose hotels out of my price range. It's a lot of work, but when you are finished, you will be able to ask questions that people can answer.Last edited by JjBee62; 12-11-15 at 17:20. Reason: Autocorrect correction

Suggestion would be for cost, location, GF and decent room size. A friend suggested "Bay breeze", "Nova gold" and "B2 south Pattaya" as viable options too. Further I have decided to divide my trip to 4 days Pattaya & 4 days BKK.

I have even seen baht buses on N. Pattaya and Central Pattaya in the late night hours. However, on those two roads the buses run less frequent.
Now if you want to go down South Pattaya (away from the beach) you would be better off just get a motor bike taxi if you are comfortable with riding on them. Or you can rent one of the baht buses right there on S. Pattaya just outside of walking st. If you do get one of those buses waiting, always negotiate the fare.

Anyone know of the current state of Sea Me Spring Too in regard to surrounding construction and noise? I plan to stay there for a few nights for New Years; however, tend to sleep in quite late.
Thank you.

I am planning a trip to LOS in Mid Feb with one of my best friends and thought it would be a good idea to get a good 4* Hotel with a suite with 2 attached rooms and a common hall.
Do anyone have an idea about any such hotels or service apartments? I was thinking of booking somewhere close to where all the action is.
Thanks
