A trip report from December would have been nice considering other members took their precious time to advise you. Maybe you don't see it that way?
Well I did take their advice and decided that the best option was to rent a private driver. $80 each way. As for a trip report, the trip was somewhat uninspiring. So much so that I decided I probably wouldn't be returning. Well it's cold again up north and I need some sun. I've never been to SD or Boca and have been reading. Being that it's a Monday and a Tuesday I think SD is the best option plus I can take some time to see the city. I didn't realize that it was the oldest city in the America's. I appreciate you keeping tabs on me. If you're in the DR in a couple weeks or Curacao next week let me know.

I really like this place except they make you pay an extra 5 bucks for each girl. It's not the money, it's just a hassle. The reception girls are real nice, though and will translate for you if needed. They also have a great happy hour featuring bartender Raquel who is easy on the eyes. Next time I will stay at Napolitano, however, mostly to frolicki with some big tits in the pool. It's also close to the cinema and apparently some Casas which I have yet to discover. Cheers.

I think that I know the answer from reading the forums the past few days, but what is your opinion? Boca or SD for a day and a half before I off to Sosua. This is a Monday and a Tuesday. Never been to either. Looking for inexpensive hotel that is chica friendly. As for Chica's, which will have the best selection in the 1500ST range.
Thanks in advance.

The taxi rate from airport to SD is supposed to be a fixed rate, I think $30. Of course there's no guarantee a taxi won't try to charge much more. Verify the rate before you get in the taxi.
Some guys have suggested you can catch a taxi at the departures level for a cheaper rate. There's also a shuttle bus. Search the forum and you should be able to find info on it.

Arriving in SD Jan. 29th for 4 nights.
Can anyone recommend any girl friendly hotels = (no problem to visit your room for short or long time). Preferably closer to the action.
I would also appreciate some advise on transportation and reasonable fares FR. O.M. The AirPort to SD.
Thanks.

Well there are a lot of guest friendly hotels around Gazcue. I stay mostly at hotel el Danae ($30) its a family operated hotel and it works for me. You have streetwalkers and casas all concentrated in that same neighborhood. To get there when I arrive at las Americas I take the stairs to the upper level where you find the cheaper taxis standing last time in November they quoted me 400 pesos. Good luck have fun.

Thanks to all of you guys for sharing ideas and information. We want to get in early to have a full day and will do so if we can absorb the travel cost. We cannot get away much so that one additional afternoon means a lot to us. In the normal course of things I would definitely relax and enjoy the bus ride.

Will report back. I have been to Haiti and DR before. In Haiti I will be with a native so I will be hooked up with out a problem. Will have my friend / interpreter with me at all times. I am going to POP not Punta Cana. It looks like we will take a cab from the airport to POP. It will save time and not add mush to the bill. I'm afraid if we take a bus we will miss out on the evening action.

(But did you actually go from SDQ via motoconcho and guagua, to Av Independencia, in order to rent from Nelly? There is a Nelly office right there at SDQ, I'm sure you know.).
To the OP: If you could make your way from JBQ to Av Independencia, Nelly would be a nice choice to rent from. I looked on their website and doesn't seem like there'll be a surcharge to originate there and drop off at PUJ Punta Cana.
Please do report back. There are virtually no "cross-over" Haiti--DR reports. I'd like to read about your experience in both countries in one trip.
