    Best Beach Hotels

Have RTFF but most of the advice is about "downtown" Cebu hotels. I'm wondering if someone could kindly proffer some advice as to:

    I) The best beach (es) on the island.

Ii) The best recommendation on a hotel for a couple.

I'll be bringing a morsel with me, so no need to shop elsewhere. Being a Manila man, and a total Cebu virgin, any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the book review.

Your first trip to Cebu, by Dante Hall.

3 stars: may be worth reading.

$3.50,26 pages. Free with Kindle Unlimited or Amazon Prime (Kindle Owners' Lending Library).

This is a short, information-dense introduction to Cebu, aimed primarily at the monger. The sections are:

    - Freelancers.

    - The Colon area.

    - Ayala mall.

    - Girly bars.

    - Online dating.

    - Summing up the girl scene (he proposes some plans of action based on the previous options).

    - Pinay personalities (e. G. They don't want to say no to you so they may lie).

    - Airport, hotels, and where to stay.

    - Nightlife and things to do (not a lot for the tourist).

    - SIM cards and texting.

    - Why Cebu is better to live long term (you can build relationships with girls that will pay off long term).

Hall recommends Angeles City as easier, and somewhat cheaper, than Cebu for mongers.

Given that I got the book for free (Kindle Owners' Lending Library) it was worth my time reading it. I suspect people that are knowledgeable about Cebu wouldn't learn much new however.

    Supercat

I've found them to be very reliable, but you would want to check the weather forecast. If you have a storm approaching you might want to leave earlier than planned. I've used them from Cebu to both Ormoc and Tagbilaran several times.

Looks like they have five runs a day from Ormoc. http://www.supercat.com.ph/Destinati...ed.asp?route=8#dtn.

Recently a westerner was travelling to Europe with his pinay lady. She has traveled a lot so her passport is full of stamps etc from Europe / Asia etc.

At immigration she was asked for her return ticket to Cebu! First time ever she has been asked. This caused confusion and a slight problem as no hard copy and the guy wanted his hard copy. Went to the airline desk but it refused (WTF!) to print the ticket (only in the Philippines I think that an airline won't print the ticket).

In the end the super slow Mactan airport kicked in and they got the email and ticket on the smartphone. Showed the guy but he insisted on a hard copy! WTF again. With some discussion and calling the supervisor all was sorted but what a farce and the guy not impressed.

The cutie suspects the officer was doing this due to local Barangay politics as he asked her a lot of personal questions that normally no passport officer would do and she thinks he is from a rival political clan (based on is name and her name).

Just a heads up as I know some members have been / are travelling son with their cuties from Mactan so just make sure you have on the smartphone a copy of the ticket and remember the WiFi is painfully slow at time.

Incident took say 20 minutes to resolve but what other country asks it citizens if he / she has a return ticket at passport country and show it and insist on hard copy.

I have flown many times with cuties and taken the odd affidavit, plus hotel booking (always be prepared) but never hear this one.
I'm happy I don't take them further than Alpha City Suites LOL.

Everywhere you go in Phils, you find Pinays so why bother.

    PC out.

    Buko,

Can we have some happy news from you? Just asking as you seems to find old news.

The guy is bailed as CDN seems to suggest. They throw trafficking at all foreigners and many times hard to stick if the person comes to the room willingly and can be proven etc So whatever the judge saw she thought the ladies were some way apparently using bola bola.

As for fish head head soup Sxxxx am advised it is just rice and small amounts of low quality meat. But all the same not very nutritious.

    Imprisonment Cebu

Cebu has a seductive ambiance, but that does not stop foreigners being imprisoned in this charming city.

There have been previous discussions on this Forum, re foreigners imprisoned in Cebu prisons.

Years later, they are still in prison.

Fish head soup, as my daily dish, never appealed to me, LOL.

    [CodeWord908] Case Filed Against Briton

Briton also indicted for violating Cybercrime Prevention Act.

A British national was charged in the Regional Trial Court with large-scale [CodeWord908] involving seven women and for having in his possession pornographic materials that he produced and created, with intent to publish and distribute them to online customers.

This after the Office of the City Prosecutor found evidence to indict Wade Lloyd Allsopp of the crime of qualified trafficking in person, which is a non-bailable offense, for taking advantage of the vulnerability of seven females for the purpose of prostitution and sexual exploitation, which is considered to be in large scale.

The Prosecutor's Office also indicted Allsopp for cybersex, a violation of are. A. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) or the Cybercrime Law, defined as the willful engagement, maintenance, control, or operation, directly or indirectly, of any lascivious exhibition of sexual organs or sexual activity, with the aid of a computer system, for favor or consideration.

Bail for this offense is set at P120,000.

According to the resolution of Prosecutor Aurora Penaflor, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents had placed Allsopp on sustained surveillance operation after they were informed that the Briton p was allegedly exploiting, trafficking, and sexually molesting women at his rented condominium in one of the hotels in the city.

    Case filed.

The City Prosecutor's Office filed the case last Wednesday, June 29,2016 at the Cebu RTC.

Allsopp was arrested on May 19,2016 by NBI operatives at his rented room in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, where he was caught in the company of seven scantily clad women.

Two laptops that contained photos of women in different age brackets who were either posing nude or clad in skimpy attires were also found in the scene, along with several sex toys, pieces of lingerie, gadgets, and instruments apparently used for pornography.

    Victims' affidavit.

The rescued victims in their judicial affidavit claimed they met Allsopp through Facebook and that he allegedly recruited and offered them a deal where he would assist them in finding foreigner husbands allegedly on the condition that they would submit sexy and nude photos of themselves.

The victims also alleged that Allsopp opened, created, and maintained individual accounts for them, where their nude and pornographic pictures were downloaded and viewed in a dating website.

The victims also claimed in their affidavit that Allsopp had allegedly consummated sexual favors from all of them by allegedly threatening them with physical harm and intimidation and allegedly deceiving them with unfulfilled promises.

Penaflor, however, dismissed the seven counts of [CodeWord123] filed against Allsopp for lack of evidence.

In an interview after he was arrested, Allsopp described as unfounded the allegations against him, claiming that he was in the country for just a week and was on vacation when he was arrested.

He also claimed in that interview that he was a retired finance officer from England.

Due to the nature of the offense, the victims' names are withheld.

It's more than extended family. Known for over 25 years. No, I do not vote and some related extended family does not too as they have USA citizenship. But, I met all Team Mandaue when I was there last December.

Thank you. Good advice. I'll take the 8. 00 am ferry and if any one of my maidens may join me for some activity in Cebu before I catch my flight.
