As far as MDE vs Bogota, is it relevant that Bogota is about 3 times as big? It probably has a much larger red-light district and a larger group of hot women to pick from.

Also, Centro (MDE) doesn't generally have the hottest-looking Paisas (though gems can certainly be found).

FWIW, I've never been to Bogota. As another poster noted, little interest in vacationing somewhere where I need to wear a jacket. But, with a metro area of over 10 million, I'm sure there's incredible talent to choose from.

Arrived at the airport last night after 10 pm, went outside and the buses to El Centro were right there. The fare is now 9000, posted on a windshield decal. Got dropped off at the final stop behind Nutibara.

I am thinking about taking this bus when I arrive as well. Can you or anyone tell me if the bus was direct from the airport to Centro or were there any stops in between. How long vs a taxi. I've been around the Hotel Nutibarra area in the day but never at night any worries with luggage in hand.

Anyone on the bus can ask to be dropped off anywhere on the route. The last time I rode that bus, we left the airport with almost a full load. When the bus arrived at the Nutibara, I was the only passenger. The bus does not have any scheduled stops. If you arrive in Centro at night, stay at the area where the bus stops. There should be taxis there, or pass by often.

The north route directly takes you to Centro while the southern route stops at San Diego first and ends at Centro. The both routes take around 45-50 minutes, 15-20 minutes longer than taxi ride. The area behind Nutibara Hotel is unsafe in the night. I have no idea why They keep bus station there. Colombians do not think that much.

Great report Parkinsons. As far as the beauty is concerned you have to remember that you were at the casas and strip clubs where the girls are not really dolled up. But check out Parque Lleras tonight where the nonpros are if you want to witness the Paisa beauty that everyone speaks of.

Yes somebody did write about the discrepancy in hotness between the civilian chicks and the working girls. Perhaps I'll make a trip to Parque Lleras and find out tonight. Right now, I'm at the Acevedo metro station waiting to take the J line cable cars up to Santo Domingo. The line stretches the whole way down the entire platform. Damn!

Lots of customers on a Friday night, but the problem was, there weren't enough chicks. The ones that were there, weren't too impressive either. The strippers on stage were doing something weird with shaving cream, spraying and smearing all over their body, and were rubbing it into the tipping guys' heads.

So I moved over to Club Maracaibo Show. Not as many customers there, girls-to-guys ratio was much better. Chatted up a 22 year old, negotiated 85000 for half hour, room, and BBBJ. When I pulled out my money, turned out I only 70000 in my pocket. She said ok let's go. Had an ok session, afterwards she kept pitching me to take her back to my hotel room, 100000 to stay from 2 am to 5 am. I wasn't feeling it so declined. I was hungry so walked around De Grieff and had a bowl of soup from a street vendor. Lots of police on foot patrol, road crew digging and stuff, I didn't feel unsafe at all..

Parque Lleras will naturally be the option tonight but want a better deal than 150-200 k range. Where are all the local deals guys? The 60-100 k range? I want the most bang / quality for the buck since I'm the deal hunter of the group No, not cheap, just love getting over compared with the average gringo. Oh, and I picked up several chicks off colombiacupid before arriving. Hit one the first night for 150 k and she was simply amazing- deep kissing, 69, BBBJ. Just perfect for my first experience here. I recommend it to mongers before heading down. Its like $30 for the month but watch their automatic renewals (I only paid for one month then cancelled). I "spammed" a bunch of chicks about my travel here and got plenty of responses. Once they responded I told them exactly what I was seeking. Many ignored me since its a "relationship" site but a few took me on. I have 2 other dates lined up from the site, plus seeing the first one again before we leave. So far I would say Medellin is amazing. Its generally safe, people are pleasant and helpful, food is fantastic, everything far cheaper compared to "back home. " Weather has been overcast so sun soaking has been elusive but great weather otherwise.

As far as comparing to Santa Fe, for me it is 6 in one hand and half dozen in the other. Depends on whether I have a taste for hot dogs or hamburgers that day. I do like my 30K hotel in Medellin better than my 45K hotel close to Santa Fe though. I'm in the process of looking for a better place to stay in the Santa Fe area. And I am sure that you could have gotten that Maracaibo chick for 60K. It is a bit cooler inside of Maracaibo too whereas it is usually hot as hell up in BE.

Well since there are more than 2 downtown strip clubs, which 2 are you referring to? The doorman at Conejita's said they open at 2. But open and good time to be there are two different things.

Sorry, I meant the 2 clubs that are next to each other. I believe there used to be 3 on the same block, but one closed down? Executivo, Maracaibo, and Las Americas (closed?) or am I mistaken?

This afternoon went to chicas punto com. I didn't like any of the girls in the line-up. Walked one flight up to the other place. Picked a girl named Luna. Paid mama 40000. Very pretty face but loose baby belly. All rooms were taken so they put us in their "locker room" (yes the girls' lockers were in there) -- which has no bed, only sofa chairs and sheets on the damn floor! Fucked her on the chair, just like I do in the VIP room in my favorite hood strip club back home. Then we moved on to the fucking polished concrete floor. She put up a good fight and I busted before I could damage my kneecaps doing missionary on concrete.

Walked by Plaza Botero afterwards and there was some sort of free Hindu concert. Walked the 2, 3 blocks around checking out the street girls. No thanks. My verdict so far on Medellin? Take me back to Bogota. The number of girls at the strip clubs and the street vibe of Santa Fe just can't be beat. I'm sort of underwhelmed by the supposedly legendary paisa beauty. Have all the good looking ones gone to work in Bogota? I'll hit up the Conejitas and the other two strip clubs again tonight, and more casas tomorrow. See if that'll change my impression.

I concur that Conejitos had a great lineup each time I went. I think I went three nights in a row, all after 9 pm. It got exponentially more crowded as time passed. I noticed though that very few guys were actually taking the plunge. I had lots of money to spend but decided to only grab one girl each night so as not to draw attention from the other unsavory guys in the club. I asked each girl if they would come to my hotel the next day, but only one took the offer, though I didn't end up calling her. Again, centro is really shady after dark! Be safe!
