That claim isn't made unless it's embedded in the article and I missed it. The title calls him the city's "top American pimp." Given the likely relatively small number of American expat pimps, that might not be a very hard title to attain.

Despite the laughable claim that Jake was Medellin's top pimp, the willingness to conflate exploitation of [CodeWord902] girls and perfectly legal (and largely tolerated) activities between consenting adults, something like this puts MDE on the radar, not in a good way.

If anyone is looking for a hotel. I stayed at the Hotel BH EL Poblado for a few nights and it was fairly nice. New modern hotel with a comfy room, good price and convenient location, right next to the Santa Fe mall. Best part, its chica friendly. I kind of like when they at least check their ID, but this place didn't even do that.

The Hotel Manager will be happy to read this, should he find this page with Google or whatever referral from friends.

Those or who serves at night shift will have some tough time.

What was the daily rate? I'm currently renting and apartment up in Loma el Indio, but looking to move down closer to town tomorrow. Was considering another AirBnB, since these days many can go for $250-$300 per week, but that location could work.

If you want to become a Medellin Ninja, start at the first post from 2016 and work your way back to this page (which will probably be either page 2 or 10 by then, depending on how fast you read).

Not to mention the fabulous RoD, which can be scrolled back even a few years without spending days, and, once one knows how to move around, the Medellin List. Easy and straightforward.

Next step is pay a membership in change of all that, and get the power to PM senior members (those who spent a significant amount of time in Medellin, say more than 7 days) for specific questions. Enjoy ISG.

Since you said you are going next month, we are all going to assume that you are smart enough to not have booked a trip to a place you know nothing about (I mean, who does that, right?) However, as assumptions go...

The best thing for you to do is this:

> Read everything until you get to the bottom of that page. Then click the number "3"

> Repeat this process over the next few days until you get to page 30. That's not even close to what you said, you never said you 'went' to Nicaragua, but whatever. Your 2nd post was a little less ambiguous!

Do what I did, go back 2 years on this thread, to say, maybe Sept of 2014. Take 30 min / day & read 10-12 pages per day as well as the current days new posts (which have slowed down to almost nothing lately) and I can guarantee you 99% of your questions will be answered. You will find topics that interest you & some that don't. I did that for my July 4th trip & it was well worth the effort. I was impolitely told to RTFF after I asked a couple of newbie questions & was so glad I did. Some of the posts and tangents literally made me LOL, others were useless to my trip but most were quite informative! You get out of this forum what you put into it. The info is there & there are very few on here will spoon feed it to you! Good luck on your trip, be safe & Happy Birthday! What a great place to spend your BD. I've been looking on this site for the last year and received some reeeallllyyyy good info for Nicaragua. I've been reading through the thread and have yet to find info on Brothels, working girl houses that do not charge tourist prices and have that sweet Colombian ass. I keep hearing el centro to pick up a wife but I want a working girl. Also been looking online and keep seeing that I want to be around the Poblado area is where the fun is. I'm going to Air BNB my own place so should be okay to bring a chic back too. Any info on where I should go and what I should pay would be awesome.

I'm monitoring multiple threads for upcoming trips in October, December, and early next year and I will say this: the level of hostility and arrogance shown on the Medellin thread is not seen on any other thread that I'm monitoring. When I post a comment, I'm genuinely trying to help someone. Unfortunately and sadly, some of you (like Napalm) enjoy being Keyboard Warriors / Trolls. That's fine, do what you do and say what you say. I'm not thin-skinned and easily butt hurt like a few people on this thread. Respectfully, yes and no. Mongers refer to it as "El Centro. " Regular tourists refer to it as "Ciudad Vieja" or, more commonly, "Ciudad Amurallada. " I know, I was there for 7 days.
