Are the Nearbuy deals on Spa sessions really cheaper than counter charges. Or is it just a ploy to attract customers towards using nearbuy app. Has any fellow monger analyzed these economics?

Nearbuy deals are always cheaper than the printed rate at the spa. Some spas are OK with negotiation at the counter and will reduce rates close to NB. I don't like it as it is much more convenient to take a voucher than haggle at the counter. Some spas allow you to pay the same amount as NB without the voucher if you call up and ask, however many decline.

Net -Net, I am yet to come across a scenario where counter charges are lower than NB. It may be more or it might work out same in some cases.

The flipside to NB though is that it is trackable back to you if it ever comes to it and someone can prove you had visited the spa. On the other hand, it also gives the safety cover where you can always say (to LE and your dear ones) that you had no idea what was going on there, and just came through NB. That should be a believable story given NB is a pretty popular app and a lot of ladies also use them for beauty parlors and restaurant deals.
