It may well be the reason for the difference is you wanting them to leave the area with you. Nothing wrong with that, but to them there could be a difference in time commitment and how long they would be out of circulation.

I still say in most instances, 150 k should be the target price. If everybody stuck to that we'd all pay less.

Not sure about the details of it, but I doubt these hookers are starving; however the Venezuelans probably are starving. You made a lot of great points here. I agree 100% with how to handle those requests (which are so easy to make for them when they have your Whatsapp). I just tell them I can't send them any money, but I'll be glad to help them when I'm with them in person. The tough part is when they tell you they haven't even got money for food. Then you have to make a judgement call.

Isla Baru and Playa Blanca have become filled with vendors now from what I've heard. If you want peace and quiet, try the beaches at Castillogrande. There are vendors there too but not nearly as many as the beaches in Bocagrande.

Given the dynamics of the relationship with a working girl, that's pretty common. In my years of mongering in Latin America I've only met one provider who didn't ask for cash when I was away. You should set limits you are comfortable with early on and always explain them as a positive. So if you will not send her money when you are away, simply tell her you will visit often and help her when you're with her, but you won't be sending any money. Trust me, if she gets mad and stops talking to you it's a good thing because that's bunny boiler behavior. Chances are you'll see her again if you got to the same mongering spot anyway.

I must disagree strongly with you here. In my experience, it's almost always downgradable to 150 K, especially now with the influx of desperate chicas from Venezuela. I'm talking about hot girls here too, not skank. Skank can be had at the torre for less than 100 k easily, but I'm talking about the hot ones.

Totally true, although I am more used to that from my girlfriends from Indonesia, rather than those from Colombia.

Actually they charge 25,000 pesos for the first checked bag, 45,000 if you check a second bag. You might not have noticed it because it's only like 8 dollars. This is a copy of one of the tickets I just bought.
