I will be arriving in Medellin on Monday as a last minute detour. I read the forum, but still am a bit confused, so I hope you guys can help me out a bit. I am fairly familiar with Cartagena, but I doubt the scene is exactly the same. I read about the mansion, I thought it was a club, but now from my understanding it's a hotel? Another Colombia 'ah ha' moment is the very term prepago rather than the dozens of other terms used around the world. Apart from mobile phones, I've not hear this pre-pay term used elsewhere in any language. Please correct me if you know of elsewhere. Just the using the term prepago, there is an implied acknowledgement. You'll pay "before" or you will eventually pay. Sure there is also a date and drop approach. If that's your thing, have fun.

It's his money, he had a great time. Good for him. The "genuine non prepagos" had a great time and 2 days later they were truly enjoying themselves with another gringo who had incredible game. In the meantime, they were doing locals each day at 50 k a pop.
