I highly support sharing more of this type of information in the general thread. It is a big part of the Tijuana experience.

Great idea to have a 'commerce' or 'medical' category, as surely it will benefit quite a few.

Correction: The total cost is actually USD 2400 for me, not USD 2000 as mentioned before. Since root canal is already done and I am on a time limit to get the crown placed, will swallow the USD 1200 cost of the crown this time, but have promised myself to achieve dental independence going forward.

Another Idea: Will be happy to pay a fellow Eskimo brother USD 100 (or some reasonable amount) for a few hours or a day's worth of medical tourist guide services.

I also live here in the Santa Fe area (12 years now). I have had three Mexican crowns for over 8 years, no problem. (About $300 ea.) These were done by a woman / brother team in Rosarito who seem to have left. One of my neighbors is a dentist but all I have had is an exam. He found a problem and fixed it. If you want a referral PM me.

My sister has a fantastic dentist in Palomas, CHI which is a block from the border. (South of Deming, NM.) I am going there soon for a comprehensive exam because I had about 20 fillings when I can home from Vietnam and I think some need to be replaced. I think there are mongering opportunities there (probably barato) but I was with my sister when I saw the pimp. (Oops, sorry pimps are illegal in Mexico).

Wondering if there is a tab with dental / medical referrals, and if not, should one be created.

(That's why posting this under 'General Reports' not 'Dental referrals'.

Necessity is the mother of invention, so was hoping to get some advice regarding a good dentist who does crowns, root canals, and such stuff.

(Just had a root canal done in San Diego, to be followed by a crown; total cost around USD $2000, with my portion around USD $1000; this is with insurance, BTW, and a good one too)!

Seriously thinking about positioning myself such that I can 'fade off' US dental care, and be 100% Tijuana dental care.

Once I get a lady do the bars are private rooms for the session or, do I need to get an hourly rate motel?

The chica will help coordinate the room. Just be aware during negotiations that her fee will not include the room. If it's HK, she'll take you to Cascadas, literally, right next door. You'll have to pay for the room. I think it's still $17 for 30 minutes. That amount of time is standard. So anything more than 30 minutes needs to be negotiated with the chica and the hotel.

I am traveling to San Diego for business and might get a quick visit down to Tijuana the first week of September. It seems the weather is fairly consistent all times of year. When do you folks plan to next visit down in Tijuana?

Yes the weather will be good. Many of us, myself included are go often to Tijuana, I spent this past Monday and Tuesday and enjoyed it during a weekday with less crowds in HK and other bars, it gets to be a sausage fest on weekends.

The hot edecanes at soccer games and bull fights are all skinny and cute, no gorditas. Gorditas can never make it to paid edecanes.

Chubelas is full of round, rotund and obese chicas, rarely a skinny girl. They mostly dance with rancheros, rarely go to the hotel to get fucked.

Outlying bars on the East side have mostly old, heavy women, but I had found angelic-looking young spinners on occasions.

The locals do love fatter chicks. They do swear by 7 de Copas being a good place.

The one time I visited was primetime on a weekend. The crowd was actually pretty decent. There were a good amount of chicas. Problem was they were all a combination of old, fat and ugly. This place is actually owned by the HK group. Back in the day HK chicas that misbehaved were often exiled to 7 de Copas as punishment. I wish that was still the case today as there would be a handful of bangable HK girls. But trust me the talent is Hacienda-level just at 25 x the volume, which if you think about it it's not a good thing.
