I am here in Cebu now looking at the fire out my hotel window. It is just about 24 hours since the first alarm. Still lots of smoke. Lots. And plenty of sirens and trucks going in and out. Clearly the fire is still going -- or at least smoldering.

Posts: 3230Fire in Ayala Mall Cebu
I just had a first-hand report that the fire in the toy section of the Ayala Mall has flared up again and is now threatening a whole section of the mall.
Earlier reports suggested it wasn't too serious http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/...bu-city/story/.
However, it seems to still be a problem.

Anybody on the ground there now?

Manila is the capital of the country. More options, better choices. But Cebu is just a provincial city. Even that I never disappointed by Cebu because I consider what I could expect from some provincial girls. It's not comparable with the capital cities in the world. But Cebu have lots to offer but not in hard core professional way as most capital cities does. Have professionals but I found the best GF services; but I would say not to be found in hard core professional way.
Cebu is a heaven for me for semi or non professional GF companions as any one wanted. These days Cebu became my base city rather than Manila. It's surrounded by Leyte, Bohol, Dumaguete or Bacolod and have normal access by the lovely girls willing to meet me. Or I can travel their by.
Happy hunting.

Sorry to hear your trip turned so bad. I agree that pinalove can be a bit of hit and miss. More miss than hit.
I was luck to have scored a few gems on PL. But as I was on a business trip and not a trip solely for mongering. I will not return to cebu too. It's like picking a needle in a haystack. They do have some stunners but it's very hard to find them.
I prefer makati hands down. I will be there next month and have a few lines up.
One thing with play girls. You need to have plan be, see and the if plan A fails.
You can't reply on their punctuality.
Quite opposite from Thai or Vietnam girls.

Well spent approx 2 weeks here and despite research, planning and effort thought. Sorry what's all the hype about.
Positives. Hotel = Quest 'close to Ayala & faclities pretty good esp breakfast.
Negatives. Food. Average to WTF. Ate at some decent restaurants in Ayala but nothing great. If you are going spend more if you want decent food. Greek and Italian restaurant on opposite side to shops is where finally I would only eat (but Vietnamese ok. Banana Leaf).
Other food was either crap / too small or just poor. Don't come here for the food.
Girls. Did my homework on Pinalove. Lined up 5/6 . Now here's the story. Didn't show, no ID, kept screwing me around. Waste of my time.
Had 2 semi decent encounters in 2 wks. WTF - BIg promises but little delivery.
My lasting opinion Filipina girls lie, can't be trusted, waste of time, keep you waiting.
Ayala freelancers = yuk.
Didn't try bars but reflecting should have.
Now usual scenario went like this. Get online arrange to meet at 7 . Comes 7:30 - just going into taxi darling, comes 8:15 taxi just came will be there soon, come 9:15 me at meeting point. Really bad traffic darling, 10. Almost there darling where are you. Waiting for you WTF for the last 3 hrs from when we suppose to meet. Ok be there soon. Come 10:30 - almost there. Are you waiting for me darling? - Me" get here within 20 minutes or I go" She either magically turns up in 30 minutes or doesn't turn up at all and then goes we eat first or no ID so can't go to hotel.
Sorry don't need this shit. And not going to be stuffed around by substandard WG when I am on vacation. Happen over and over again and yes I should have taken another tact. The clubs or Mango but at the time.
So sorry Cebu not coming back. A matter of fact for the Phil's it will be the clubs of manila or nothing but prob nothing.
Hope others have better luck and the 2 bonks I had anyway were average. Thanks to WR and others who assisted before I left. I'll leave Cebu to others thanks.

I had already visited Santa Fe, Bantayan island. The matter is that cost good amount of time for travel. This time I can't afford such amount of time.
It looks Aloguinsan could be good a bate for me. Can you recommend any hotel or resort on Hidden Beach; or have to travel from Cebu for the day?

Posts: 39Lots of beach options in Cebu
I prefer the beaches up North. Malapascua or Bantayan Island. Both take some time to get to. Take a 3-4 hour bus or v-hire to a ferry. Both ferry's are relatively short. Or if you have deep pockets take a cab up 2-3 k pesos. Beaches are beautiful white sand and water is fantastic. I also liked Moalboal but not as much. It's south and on the west coast of Cebu and a shorter trip. It's also close to Kawassan Falls and Osmena Peak if you want to mix it up. Alcoy beaches were ok. Beach wasn't that deep and a lot of day trippers but ok beach and about a 2-3 hour trip. I also liked island hopping off Mactan. Mactan beaches are man made and not great but spending a day island hopping was pretty cool and some of these little islands have nice beaches. Also note that Bohol is only a few hour ferry ride away from Cebu City and there are some decent beaches there. Hope this helps.

Posts: 3280Care and Cure Hub, Ayala Mall
About 3 weeks ago I was in Cebu and my allergies were acting up. Back home I usually would go for an allergy shot and be cured for a while.
I decided to try the clinic, Care and Cure located in basement 2 of Ayala Mall. Wasn't sure how great the care would be. I was pleasantly surprised the Doctors knew what they are doing. The Doc knew about the allergy shot and prescribed something else for the nose and throat. Very professional service, so if you are in need don't be afraid to go there.
The small waiting room looks packed all the time but they are pretty fast with 3-4 doctors on duty.
