By the way, I have tried searching for recent reports containing the phrase 'good English', and I have also searched for the word 'students', but I couldn't seem to find anything particularly useful.

The only way to know before you meet and actually talk to them is to contact them via social media and ask and talk to them personally by phone. Other than that you will find out when you meet and talk with them. I'm not too worried about how good their English is as I'm not meeting them for conversation LOL.

You misinterpreted my post Syz and then went on to again write about how you choose women to your liking.

In my post I was not describing any need to rush the choice of a girl at Thermae. I was merely referring to how absolutely easy it was to get a girl, and I mean ANY girl in those days.

There was no need for any negotiation unless you wanted it. The 3 of us were staging a competition to see who could get in and out of Thermae choosing a girl. Unlike your post describing refusals, the period from 30 years ago that I am describing was notable for no refusals. The girls would actively jump in front of you and say "me me me". Of course, if you wished to conduct the long interview to get your choice exactly right like you always do then you could do so but it was very much a buyer's market (as Goatscrot described in his OP).

Re your comment about Grace. It's not strange at all that I never mentioned Grace Coffee Shop because 30 years ago it was almost exclusively a mid-eastern hangout and had no attraction for me at all. On the contrary, the Rex Coffee shop was a must stop for us after we had been in the gogo clubs and wanted to source a LT candidate from the usually extensive smorgasbord always sitting around in the coffee shop, especially after 1 or 2 am.

Unfortunately, both Thermae (as it is now) and Rex (demolished) no longer exist except in my memories, and Grace Hotel is also never, ever on my radar.

Wrong about Grace coffee shop. 30 years ago not mid eastern at all. Best freelance spot in BKK. Hotel was UAE etc. Except for tower 3, floor 12,14, 15 which were for falang only.

I didn't encounter her on Soi 4. We were walking in opposite directions on Sukhumvit Rd near Soi 4 at around Bully's Pub. Although her body would have made the cut, I doubt her face would have met your spec. No surgery issues, but she did not have classically beautiful facial features. Too many individual aspects for you to pick apart. Instead, she hit that often attractive (for me) area of cute but very different look in the face, mostly coming together on the up side due to a rather disarmingly sweet, youthfully un self-conscious smile.

Cowboy was raw and wonderful. Soi 33 Dead Artists bars were fantastic, and Thermae and the Rex Hotel coffee shop were both absolutely certainties.

I recall 3 of us (all caucasians) having a contest to see who could get inside Thermae and out again with a girl in fastest time. I was timekeeper. Ready-set-go. One place I wanted to see again was Crazy House which I was there last August. Not sure this is corrct. I have a friend who is married to an Indo girl and they own property there under her name. They have a son who would inherit the property if he retains his Indonesian citizenship but he needs to decide before he turns 18. If he chooses Australian citizenship he will lose his Indonesian citizenship and then cannot inherit. But Indo citizens do not lose their right to own property unless they give up their citizenship.

At the moment you are spot on. She is still a Indonesian citizen. There are moves for permanent resident status like we do have here in Australia and by the time we are ready hopefully it will be in. If worse comes to worse she can have the have the house in the village and I will keep our house in Canberra LOL. We have a kid and at the moment she has dual citizen citizenship and I know she will choose to be an Aussie but again there may be provisions for permanent residency for her but I don't think losing a house in East Java will be a major concern for her.
