The 2 Scotia ATMs next to Adelita on Coahuila dispense either pesos or dollars; terminal fee is only 9 pesos, plus overseas transaction fee which is zero for Bank America's clients. That area is near La Zona's bars, well lighted, frequented by people day and night, and the armed security guards at Adelita door are only 10 feet away, making those ATMs safe. I have not had any problems there for over 18 years.

I've got one small question. Does the ATM in the lobby of HK give pesos or USD?

Follow up question if the ATM gives USD (or even if not), where's a good place to get pesos?

The ATMs in HK and Cascades all give Pesos. They have a max of 3,000 Pesos per-transaction. I try not to use them because the fee was pretty high (it has been a while so I don't remember what it was) and on my bank statement it said, the withdraw was from Zona Norte. Now I plan better and I either use banks or normally I exchange for pesos before crossing border. My only concern is I am crossing the border often times with close to $1,500 in cash and pesos. Never been a problem but makes me a little nervous sometimes.

And make sure you tell your bank. I have made that embarrassing mistake before.

I prefer to spend closer to 48 then 24 hrs when I make a trip so parking at trolley station is usually a no go since it is a max 24 HR parking limit I hear.

I never parked all night. I always park from 7 PM or 8 PM to around 130 AM and never had a problem. Parking lots looks safe, are well-lit and have security cameras. Just in case do not leave anything of value in the car. After visiting the Zona Norte visit this famous place "Tacos El Gordo" open everyday until 2 AM but on Fridays and Saturdays open until 4 AM. As of 2018, HK insists VIPs give their cars to the valet guys. They would drive and park the cars at Pepe's. The poor valet guys would sit in the cold usually run to Pepe's to pick up car fast at the end of the night. I can't see any benefits to the valet system except to help the parking guys get more tips. HK girls were always leaving their cars with valets. Last weekend, a young and pretty HK girl picked up her bright red, brand new Camaro, and tipped the valet $2. I'll try it out. Anything to speed up the process of going through CBP is worth a try. Did you have to go through TSA again if you have a domestic connection?

It is faster but works the same way as without Global Entry so I think it will need to go through TSA if it is required.

Mobile passport has a very short line for the past two years I have been using it. I personally have not seen a line that is longer than 3. More than half of the times I was the only person. I travelled internationally about once a month for the past 6 months. The last couple of times the agent only asked me to scan my Mobile Passport and gave me a card afterwards, the real passport was not checked. After I picked up my luggage, I gave the card to the agent before exiting the luggage pickup area. I usually travel with only carry on, and almost never bring anything back to US so the custom rarely check my luggage.

I'll try it out. Anything to speed up the process of going through CBP is worth a try. Did you have to go through TSA again if you have a domestic connection?
