First time in Nairobi made every mistake in the book. I have fixed a lot since f noob mistakes but open to suggestions and meet ups.

I'm in Nairobi right now and I made every noob mistake that could be made.

1. I skimmed the forum.

2. I came on a lark, well not totally I'm reconning the city as a possible retirement option.

3. Went to Sabina Joy and picked up an hanger on; a chick who wants to keep me to herself. She was useful in finding me a deal on a hotel and transportation and translation (it's hard for locals to understand me and me them) and she was relatively cheap.

4. It took me a few days to get a phone so I couldn't capitalize on tinder and badoo at first.

5. Picked a hotel based on a cab drivers recommendation (the strand) I got a better cheaper deal a few blocks down the street.

6. I came during rainy season harder to pick up college students in the rain.

Just sad and shocking. Of course it's prime real estate. The last authentic place gone now after Florida. These 2 places should have been protected as landmarks. Where to go? I liked the open bar area and Nyama. Last October I spent my last night there. At least there is still Sabina Joy.

Haven't made it out to Kenya yet, about 5 more weeks. I like to do my research well in advance. It seems like Kenya is similar to Western Africa and South East Asia in that you just need to know what areas to find girls and then afterwards you make your moves when you get on ground. Whereas in the West (US, UK, Germany etc) you can find a lot about providers online.

I think at this point I've done all the research and prep that I can. I've gotten myself a nice spot in Westlands. I have a decent lay of the land in terms of venue. Now it's just a waiting game.
