I'm back in Medellin after more than a year. Staying at Hotel Villa Real on la sententa a block from Metro station Estadio. Very economical place, like 70 k pesos a night but I'm close to centro via Metro and the spas like Tantra, Secret, Energy and Blue. Abydos use to be on the list but was closed the last time I was here. Since everyone is on the pricing and tip theme I can say from my perspective prices are going up. Tantra is, for today anyway, 135 k pesos for an hour of full service. I like these Laureles spas as they have better ambiance and I just feel safer walking around that area. Even if the safety is just in my head its real to me. That chick Wolf refers to as estrella use to go by the name luna and was a regular of mine. Price was 150 k to 200 k an hour in my room depending on how I felt the performance was. That pricing held for 2 years during which I would return to MDE on a regular bases. I reached out to her and now she values her little box at 350 k an hour. Says she has many clients paying that. Good for her but I will not be one of them. Needless to say she is off my list. I can do her at fase dos for almost half that if the need arises. But there are always more and more chicas at everyone's price point. I agree that tipping by gringos makes many of the girls kinda "expect" it regardless of service given. I personally give 10 k to the spa chicas en laureles when the service was good and she had a smile on her face and "pretended" to enjoy her time with me. None of us are going to be able to prevent others from paying what they want. They can read on this board what are the normal prices but in the end many I feel just want to show off. Buts its their money and I can still find more chicas than I could possible utilize at my price point.

Tantra had a nice selection today, about 7 girls of different shapes and colors. I enjoyed a petite one and she gave me an enthusiastic BJ which earned her the 10 k tip. I really enjoy the patio bar in the back of the house. You can chill and have a drink with a girl before deciding. The rooms are nice and spacious. I really don't like the cramp rooms found in centro. The madam mentioned that they are opened one Sunday every month. Which one you will have to call. Cra 80 No 44 b-139.

I also tried Secret Spa but they only had 2 chicas out of 5 available. I will wait to see the five since they have a viewing fee. 140 HR for full service.

Colombia is not like DR or other poor countries that welcome people like us. As soon as we get off the airplane they know we came to fuck their women and they don't welcome that.

My point is spending a little extra can only help but being too frugal and cheap can cause problems at the wrong place.

Unless you get off the plane wearing a shirt that says "I came here to pay women for sex" they have no idea why you're in Colombia and most people couldn't care less. Unless you're being a complete ass, nearly everyone will treat you politely. However, showing a bit of discretion is a good idea.

I personally believe in tipping, reasonably and where appropriate. In a casa, if service met my expectations, I'll give 10 - 20 k. I won't however, pay for extras. Chances are the BJ, covered or not, won't be worth an extra 40 - 50 k, so why pay?

To me, even 300 K for 1. 5 hour is way overpriced. She just became more overpriced in the last year. Crazy that someone will pay this.

I go to foreign countries to monger, I usually have a good idea of what the going rate is when I go. I always like the girls to be happy with the arrangement, it usually brings better service in my opinion. That being said, I have seen the prices climb in Medellin. I was texting a chica this week getting ready for my up coming trip. Beautiful 21 year old I found last year. Now she is asking for $600 K for 1 1/2 hours. Doubled from a year ago. She must have gotten really spoiled by someone. I don't mind spending a little more to get what I want, but I won't get ridiculous.

The thing I like to do the best if you remember is get all leftovers to go when we ate and find some poor old lady or old man begging on the street and give them the bag of food. You don't have to look far in Centro. Or that guy on Maracaibo up by Juinin walking street who has no legs.

And most of the people were so friendly to us. I'm just amazed that there seems to be such a disliking to tipping. You would have to give out 130 tips at 2000 mil pesos to give away a $100 bucks. The quality of these girls and their willingness to please, is just perfect for me! To each his or her own!

Take wolf for example, my first time in Medellin, I learned a lot from Wolf. I watched how he moved, how he interacted with people and how people responded. I notice that whenever we went out, he kept a wad of 2 mil pesos. When we were in the clubs he kept a wad of 2 mil pesos, everywhere we went, he kept a wad of 2 mil pesos. I noticed how grateful the streetwalkers, bums, door attendants were when he passed out these 2 mil pesos. Went back and did my math, yep, he was giving out about $0. 70 cents. Now we are on the board talking about how Americans drive up the price of everything.

That is the case in most places. The girls will almost always quote a foreigner a higher offer than a local. Especially in places where the locals are known to be cheap (like Buenos Aires) and the foreigners are getting great exchange rates (so a few extra bucks doesn't make much of a difference to them).

Let's face it, if you've got the money to fly to a far off location and stay in a nice hotel, and you see a beautiful woman you want to be with, you aren't as inclined to negotiate her down to rock bottom, when the little head starts to do the thinking.

Unless in the tourist area, NEVER EVER feel obliged to TIP. Locals don't, it is not expected. Only do so if you think there is a chance you will repeat the service and you want to cement some good will.

I'm in El Centro frequently and what I have experienced is that there are some girls that will ask for double what a local would pay. Not so much a dual pricing structure all the girls would adopt but what some girls will try to get out of the foreigners. When I'm given a price of 50 K I just kind of laugh and politely tell the girls it's way to much as I have been quoted as low as 15 K. Additionally when the high quoting Chicas find out that I know they are asking for more than double and insist on going to the room I say no thanks as a session with them would probably not be any good. My guess is that probably 99% or more of these street girls customers are locals hence a dual pricing structure such as in other places of the world I believe will not develop there except for the few Chicas smart enough to solicit for more money. I also observed a Chica the other day on the backside of the church who was an overweight fugly barking out the words translated from Spanish to English "Love 15 thousand" this was the first time I had heard a Chica shouting out a price to get fucked.

Well, now we have more confirmation why prices are getting out of hand. And we can blame my fellow Americans for that. Europeans don't get out of hand with their money. And it shows in practice / Let's look across the Caribbean for an interesting scenario.

Things were cheap in Boca Chica when I was there last year, while people on the Sosua and Santo Domingo forums were complaining about prices getting out of hand in Sosua. Why is that? Well, Boca Chica is dominated by European tourists, who are cheapskates in comparison to Americans. Contrary to what the media would like you to believe, Americans can be very well liked abroad because they tip and Europeans don't (I won't even bring up Chinese tourists into the conversation). Part of it is our generosity and our tendency to tip. But, Europeans don't believe in tipping and they don't worry about looking cheap even if they are well off. Who would they be trying to impress? Someone they would never see again? Americans sometimes don't seem to get that.

Same situation seems to apply on Bali.

The average Colombian monthly salary in Medellin is $350 US and they are living quite well off of that. No need in being a scrooge because you can. $300 k-$500 K will get nearly anything done in Medellin from what I have seen. If a $100 US a day to bang 2 to 3 dime pieces is too much, honestly you shouldn't be mongering. Each man has his own method of spending money. From my travels to Europe, the Brits and others are not as well liked as you make them to be, plus they have a crappy "You need Us" attitude. I wouldn't be following a European way of life in least bit, but to each his or her own. Safety first, use this board and find people with reliable contacts. This whole mongering business in MDE is out of control. Years ago you could go to many places, and find good value. Now social media is jacking up prices. I see guys hooking up, and paying 200 K to 300 K for girls you could of got in Mayorista or the Centro strip clubs for a decent price. A lot of these girls are not stupid. They sit by their PC and pick, and choose who they want to go with. Then they want taxi money when in the past they would go to their work area using the Metro.
