I've read some quotes for 65 k for 30 minutes at energy. Today I went and was quoted 125 k for 30 minutes. Did I get overcharged? My Spanish is limited and I look like a foreigner.

125 k is correct. For the full hour is only 150 k, same as it was when I visited two years ago. For an additional $8 USD, I can't imagine why you wouldn't want twice the time with a young Colombian lady.

I would prefer Airbnb too, I am going to request 4 person occupancy with two rooms. Is there anything too look for in particular to reserve to an airbnb which won't have owners or a door man who will hassle me for bringing random girls over? I heard some owners live close by and everyone has to go through the doorman even at airbnbs. Have you ever had an issue like this?

You heard pretty much correctly. It's not so much of the owners living nearby, it's neighbors (usually nosy old ladies) complaining. I've had that in three airbnb's. There are some apartment buildings with airbnb units that have a front desk like a hotel. They check all the ladies ID's and make copies.

You need to read the complete listings on airbnb. Some will be plain and say no prostitutes allowed. Others will say no sex tourism. Some will say only people listed on the registration are allowed in the apartment. In the listing, they will say that any violation of the rules will cause an immediate eviction and no refund. If the listing doesn't say anything about visitors, send a message to the owner, or agent, and ask if visitors are allowed.

You are better off if you can find a building with almost all short-term renters. Some listings will say that locals and families live in the building. That's a red flag, so stay away.

3. As long as you sign up for 2 guests for each reservation (assuming you and your friend will have separate rooms), most hotels will allow you to bring a guest. Call ahead to find out. I prefer AirBnB, but as a rookie, you need the protection of a Hotel so you don't get a girl in there that will rip you off.

I would start my day at New Life. Calle 56 #43-39. Most taxi drivers will know where it is. Just tell them la casa de chicas con la puerta azul. Scratch that. I'd start with late breakfast, early lunch at Delicias Al Natural Carrera 43 #55-35. Great cheap food. From there, turn left and walk to the corner, turn left on Calle 56 and just a little way down is New Life. Just go through the blue door. When you leave New Life, go back to Carrera 43 and go north to Calle 56. Go left and look for the red door. It's in the same place as New Life, just a block north. That's Aiffe, Calle 56 #43-27..

I just got on KAYAK flights search and found numerous flights from San Fran. To Medellin (RT) in September anywhere from $480-$550. Check that site, they always have the lowest fares with different airlines.

When I was living in SF I would Flickr from SFO to MDE around 550 +-.

I'm on the west coast USA and I think I fuck up no buying my ticket a couple weeks ago. I was planning on going in Sep-Nov and 2 weeks ago the prices were 550 $ but almost overnight they shot up to 750. I'm almost like fuck that and go to Thailand for that price (I've never been to Asia but shagged my fair share of Latinas already). I may just wait till after summer to buy tickets cause it seems tickets across the board have gone up even into next year just because we are currently in higher season. At 750 $ to get to MDE its getting nuts, I shoulda stayed in Miami I guess.

I just arrived in Medellin on Spirit from Ft. Lauderdale. Early!

At any rate, I was talking to one of the flight attendants who I have seen before on previous flights. He told me that Spirit was adding a direct from Orlando to Bogota daily as well as an Orlando to Medellin twice a week. The medellin route is supposed to be announced later this week. There is a God! I hope this is true. I got similar info on Jet Blue a few years ago, but they never pulled the trigger.

The flight attendance speculates that once Spirits starts going direct to Medellin, Jet Blue will follow. Jet Blue already flies direct from Orlando to BGT.
