Last day in Barcelona and I book half an hour with Georgina from Vecinitas.

When I looked quickly at the hotels in that area, the SM Hotel Sant Antoni caught my eye as having very good reviews at a decent price. Not sure if it has any room balconies, but it has an outdoor rooftop terrace with a pool, where it would seem you might be able to go up and smoke and drop ashes onto tourists walking on the sidewalk below.

I looked at the pictures on tripadvisor, and I see balconies outside some of the rooms. I might stay there myself. I usually use hotel reward points, but the ones close to the city have really increased the point redemption levels.

I would stay somewhere between Plaza Catalunya and Avenida Diagonal (Eixample). Which hotel to choose, depends on your budget.

Not sure on hotel, but if you're paying yourself, you can always try the airbnb option. Plenty of places out there that has balconies.
