I made two trips to Hong Kong over the past week. For both trips, I took the blue line trolly from downtown San Diego ($5 round trip) to the border and walked into Mexico. If I recall correctly, the last trolley back to San Diego is around 1 AM so plan accordingly. If you miss the last trolley, the you can take a cab or Uber.

On both trips, I traveled alone and entered Mexico around 5 PM. One time the Mexican border agent stamped my passport; the other time it was a quick look at the passport and I was waved through. I took a cab from the border to Hong Kong on one trip (my first cab driver quoted $8 and I moved on to a different cab driver). The other time, I asked the large black limo if I could get a ride even if I was not a VIP member- no problem. I tipped the limo driver the cost of a cab, $5.

As others have noted, the club was filled with attractive, scantily clad women, some performing on stage but many just hanging out, especially around the stairs / ramp that goes back to the stage where the shaving cream shows are held. I did buy several drinks for attractive women ($9/ drink of which $3 goes to the dancer). The dancer will typically sit with you and cuddle. Some are much more playful, showing tits and pussy for brief views and touches. The meats were mostly overcooked and dried out, but a few cuts were very good. Servers were polite and attentive just like HK's meseros hehe. It was a huge fancy meal with wine for less than $18 a head, after which we could hardly walk or talk, hehe. Life is good!

Got back to HK hanging out at bar Kowloon waiting for the bros. Tuesday night the club had about half the density of guys and girls, compared to weekends. Most top-tiered girls were missing, could not find any girls worth taking..

With deference to those who know everything, I thought it worth relaying an experience regarding puta crime and punnishment.

No response.

Two hours later she sends me a reply saying that when she returned to the club she was scolded for spending more than an hour my room and sent home. She was not fined the $100, for which she was thankful. I was a little unhappy, considering it was a Tuesday afternoon with many more putas in the club than mongers. Could not see the point in giving the girl grief. I offered to speak to the management on her behalf, but she said it was not necessary. And I have been in situations where doing so caused small-minded managers to give the staffer more grief instead of less, so I respected her request.

Conclusions: The requirement to purchase a bucket for the girl to stay in the room is not a scam, at least not a scam put forward by the staff or the girls. As far as I am concerned, it is a scam put on by management. Also, I am sure the rules vary girl-to-girl, manager-to-manager, and day-to-day, but more than one girl has told me directly that they have a one-hour limit door-to-door.

Total BS on the part of the HK management, but I tell this story so that my brother mongers understand that a girl can face steep consequences for breaking the "rules. " It is not her fault if she says you must buy a bucket or she must go.

There is an ATM across the street that will output US dollars.

Never used it, so I don't know how safe it is.

And I have noticed a few other ATMs on the street labeled US Dollars.

I prefer to pay in dollars.

I keep a few hundred pesos handy for street vendors.

To me it just isn't worth the hassle.

That's a pretty broad question. If you are referring to HK the standard is 80 dollars and if you make your offer in pesos many will pull out there phone calculators and calculate a rate consistent with the rate of the day. Your best bet is to do the same beforehand and skim a little off your offer and the current rate and see how sharp she is and maybe save a little.

On the other hand the best bargain in the world today is dealing in pesos with SG's. Many will want 20 dollars for basic service and usually if you offer 200 pesos they will accept and you have made a great deal.

I used the shuttle in both directions on a weeknight, and without having a VIP card. The doorman at Hong Kong told me the shuttle was free on weekdays. I was the only passenger both ways so I did tip the driver somewhat generously. I also got lucky in that the shuttle was waiting at the exit of the pedestrian crossing when I entered Mexico and it was waiting outside the Hong Kong when I decided to leave.

There is current discussion for some reason on the Crime and Safety in Tijuana section of this blog about Taxis vs HK shuttle vs Uber. Here is what I posted yesterday. " No need to take a taxi back and forth to the border. HK now has a shuttle service for VIP card holders. Just go to the valet station and ask for the shuttle. Once when the shuttle took a long time to arrive, one of the valets took my VIP card and got authorization for HK Club to pay for a taxi for me. Tip the driver when you arrive where you want to go and enjoy the ride!" They ask if you want to go to the new pedwest (aka Chaparral) or the old crossing. I usually get dropped off under the bridge at the new pedwest. If you have a VIP card, this is a no brainer.

My general advice is that if you are going to drink, get a hotel room for the night then leave in the morning when you are sober. Do not drink until you have rented your room unless you like DUI busts!.
