Done this quite a few times. Every experience has been good. One of my favs off the site broke it all down to me. She explained usually the girls rent out someones apartment for their business. I was reading JI's line about paying for a ticket, hotel, yada yada and not want to give a hooker extra. That goes over my head. All debate this forever without resolution. Some of these girls are not very smart (although very street smart). But I have met a few who are smart. They save their money. Have bought a car. Or even a house eventually (thinking of a few in both Colombian and Costa Rica). And even if they are "smart," most of them come from poor barrios where they are supporting their families and probably a boyfriend. They have no real job opportunities. Education is not something that has been made to be important to them. They see not future. So they live for the moment. I talk to a lot of these girls regularly. They ask me what I am doing and I am usually working. I ask them what they are doing and the answer is usually. Sleeping. Watching TV. Nothing. They just sit around the house. If they have money, maybe they drink. Not much of a life, if you ask me. As for the "stuff". I would argue that it's not necessary. I tend to like the girl next door. Her shoes or nails or purse do nothing for me. These girls do it to make themselves look superior to the others. They is intense competition among these girls.
