If you do Colombia, skip Medellin: plastic girls with attitudes and hordes of tourists. Cali is nice and extremely monger friendly.

If you want to pick up regular girls, stick to Bogota but the weather sucks. Bucaramanga is not worth it. Brazil on the other hand was (and still probably is to a certain extent in certain places) a country where people were so nice and friendly naturally that you would yourself change your neutral or negative attitude for the better. I loved it.
