Ok so fortunately I hooked up with a cute girl from date site for my first day and things were good. She was going to stay for 2 days. We haggled a bit over whatsapp and I thought she might be a bit mercenary but we came to an agreement. She showed up was cute, seemed sweet and we got along well. In the morning she got a call from her uncle about her mom being in hospital. She had to go which was fine but she spent about an hour trying to convince me to give her the money for the second day with the promise that she would return in the future. I gave her the agreed upon money for one day. I refused to give her money for second day which she promised she would come back for in the future. Now the unfortunate part. She left sent a few texts to ask for money then asked to come back to room and then she came up with an ultimatum that I put $300 in her bank account within 2 hours or she would go to police. All of these I ignored. I have pretty much made up my mind to ignore this black mail attempt.

Curious if anyone has any advice. I think the chats themselves pretty well identify that I didn't harm her if she goes to the police to try and claim that but I have no idea whether police here are reasonable or if they would be interested in working with her to get a cut, etc. An alternative would be for me to preempt her and go to the police to report what she is trying to do but I have doubts as to whether that would go over well. Any advice throw it up in this section please, unfortunately I cannot receive pms on here.

Hopefully I can put this behind me and have a great trip. Later I can post pic of her so others can avoid also.

Arrived in Jakarta for my New Year trip and it hasn't started well for me. Went out to My Bar (usual spot) <snip> a mamasan brought her over and introduced her to me. We hit it off quite well until she stared drinking and couldn't stop. She went from drink to drink and seemed to never stop. Well silly me decided to take her back to the hotel, big mistake. <snip> But in the room it went downhill very fast, from being tired to being sick to just wanted to sleep. I had to give up trying any move on her. Not a first good day experience, but it can only get better from tonight on wards. Must say though in the past I knew how to spot women like this, I must be losing my touch.

I have been there, done that more times than I can remember with girls that had one to four too many drinks or Ludes (LOL) and could not perform on the night in question, but didn't you get in a quality morning shag? Girls are usually grateful for being taken care of when they are wasted and indisposed.

Anyway, "it can only get better from tonight onwards. " Rock on!

Not sure who they work for but she was one of the dancers in costume working for the bar I guess. Ok so it wasn't all my doing I had help to meet her. This person I have always tried to avoid, I think she is a mamasan brought her over and introduced her to me. We hit it off quite well until she stared drinking and couldn't stop. She was drunk when we got to the hotel and speaking loudly made quite an entrance to the lobby. Nonetheless to say I was a bit shaken by this but soldiered on as I got to dance with one of the dancers while most of the other guys were trying to as well, there were 4 of them. But in the room it went downhill very fast, from being tired to being sick to just wanted to sleep. I had to give up trying any move on her. I was in see. CJs on a Wednesday (Ladies) night about three months ago. Admittedly I was well liquored up but I didn't notice the difference to any other night. What's the difference with Ladies Night, I'm clearly missing something here?

I haven't been there on a ladies night in a long time because I don't like crowds. I prefer a night like Sunday night where there are very few guys and all the every night girls are there. Ladies night the girls get in free so some girls who don't normally go to CJs will show up, and there are also normally more guys than usual simply because they know it's ladies night. That being said, some of the top girls do not show up that night because the prices drop that night due to the large number of girls.

I heard a rumor that there is no ladies night where the girls get in free at CJs anymore, but I have no confirmation on that. For many years it was Wednesday night.

Grab cars usually costed between 11 k and 16 k rupiah depending on where I was going.

Don't you normally stay at the Red Top Hotel? Going from the Red Top Hotel near Emporivm to the Mangga Dua mall area won't cost much anyway and likely won't be a traffic issue. I think you might even be able to take a bajaj. It's safe taking grab cars for such a short distance. However, I stay much further away. I hate using grab cars to come from my place to that area because the grab car drivers want to use a GPS and the GPS never gives them the most clever route so we are almost always stuck in ridiculous traffic. They don't want to change their route even when they are stuck in traffic because their fare was based on that route. Sure, the price of the ride is cheaper, but my time is worth more than a few dollars to me so I don't prefer to sit in traffic for hours.

I exclusively used Grab on this recent trip. 2 times I did not I used Bluebird and Siiverbird. The Silverbird was from the airport since I did not feel like waiting in queue for 67 Bluebird taxis. It was a fiasco to say the least and I may or may not post the incident one day. Had to use Bluebird once since there were just no Grab cars available.

When I arrived last time, it was raining, crowded, and there were no cars at all. So I took the train for 70 k and there was almost nobody on it. Not bad at all. I had to take a taxi from the train station when the train arrived at it's destination, but it wasn't far for me from there. In the end, it took me an hour to get home. Had I taken a taxi, it would have been longer due to that rain.

Finally, there is Grab, which works exactly like Uber. Grab bought out Uber's operations in all of SEA a few months back and in turn, Uber has taken a financial stake in Grab. Grab is a Singaporean venture.

Grab car. I ONLY used the 5 star rated drivers in Grab cars (not Grab taxis). The price difference is nominal and all but one driver was in a newer if not new vehicle, usually a small SUV or crossover. The only one driver not in a new vehicle was in a really old junkie car that was super dirty. I almost asked him how he got to be 5 stars when I got in the car but luckily I didn't since he turned out to be a super nice guy. After the long ride to Pluit I knew why everyone rated him 5 stars. All drivers were friendly and made sure you got good service and they dropped you off exactly where you wanted to keep their 5 star rating. 5 star Grab cars usually costed between 11 k and 16 k rupiah depending on where I was going. What I really liked was if I wanted to go to Kota Indah I no longer had to explain to the driver where Kota Indah / Pangjay were since my Grab destination was on their GPS. I also liked the efficient cashless transaction through my credit card. I did tip some drivers if their drive was through traffic or they got me somewhere really quickly.

Pro tip. If you change your destination part way through a ride it will end up costing you a lot more even if the new destination is closer. Also, if you do a geo location for a driver to pick you up it may be more expensive that if you punch in a store name for a driver to pick you up from. From Kota Indah I walked to the auto dealership on Pangeran Jayakarta.

I also used Grab in Kuala Lumpur and they were good as well.

Sadly, I am back in Pattaya now where Grab has decided to be greedy SOB's and match the taxi pricing of the taxi mafia.

You can take the busway from Harris Vertu to Blok M in 30 minutes for 25 cents US.

Thank you. Sometimes I do public transportation when it's justified. Taxi is only $3. 45. Taking public transportation to go out and f--k has always felt too depressing for me. It's like commuting for a job. Also most taxi drivers I met were super nice guys and it's door to door with aircon and pleasant music all for 50 K.

In my experience, it is only the dancers who do this. I have never had one of the non dancers meet me at my place, but the dancers are normally up for it.

a couple of my Malio dancers were not only into seeing me on the outside, they suggested it!

I had a great experience with a dancer from the upstairs lounge recently. One of the best sessions I've ever had in Jakarta. She wanted to go bare back during the session but I refused and then said how about CIM which I accepted! Afterwards she spoke about seeing me outside and even accompanying me on trip to Bali I had mentioned I was thinking about.
