Some would say you are the one being taken advantage of by making you pay for something they are giving Filipinos for free. No idea how the one paying could be the one taking the advantage. That is like going to a car dealer and buying a car and the purchaser being blamed for taking advantage of the dealer. Nobody is making anyone do anything. The one that is being paid can always go back home with the same exact thing they arrived with, same as anyone else can do on their job. No harm, no foul.

So why do a lot of guys here rave over Jakarta? I know one board member that went once and has never gone back. I trust his judgment. I have only been to Bali and that was for scuba diving. Not some place I would go out of my way to get to for girls.

For me it's the food and as a 'younger' guy the easy attention I get. I haven't been in a bar / club in Jakarta even yet its the easiest 'pickup' place in the world (for me). Plus I love the girls looks and enthusiasm and happiness there (same for PH tho). But the city of Jakarta itself is indeed not the best. Traffic does drive you 50 x more crazy then BKK or anywhere basically esp. On Sudirman. So I usually go out to smaller cities or islands or the most random cities. Most pretty girls I found in Bandung but then again, that's probably personal taste. The weather there is also much better then Jakarta. Just never ever will I go during Ramadan. It's not worth it.
