Brazil has dropped visa requirements for visitors from the USA And several other nations, ahead of new leader Jair Bolsonaro's first meeting Tuesday with President Trump.

Brazil's government said Monday that tourists and business travelers from the USA, as well as Canada, Japan and Australia, won't need visas to visit the Latin American country as of June 17.

The visa was instituted initially due to reciprocity as Brazilians require a visa to visit those countries. That has not changed.

I'm preparing my next trip to Colombia.

I've visited last year Bogota and Cartagena. I had a very nice time in Bogota, a bit less in Cartagena as I was there during the semana Santa and it's was full of tourists but not so many chicas.

Anyway, my plan this year is to go back to Bogota but just for 3 or 4 days and then visit Medellin for 2 weeks.

I 'd like to have opinions from the experts if Medellin is worth a visit for 2 weeks. I'm not talking about the city itself but the girls, variety and easiness. Bogota really offers a large choice and I wonder if that the same in Medellin.

So which one of the 2 would you choose and why?

I tend to agree with your comments. It is my opinion that Bogota is a much bigger city and offers more variety of chicas. You can easily find girls that suit to any style, shape, taste and preference. One might argue that Bogota is more costly but that is not your question here. Also there's more to do in a larger city.

You got me curious so I checked my Brazil visa. It is 8 years old! I did get it for $100 but that was a while ago. I guess I better try to use it before it expires LOL!

$160 just for the visa and I am paying much more for the flight. Not mention the extra hours of flying and I don't speak the language; just a little bit too much for me. I budget myself playtime and money every month.

Now that visas will be much smaller; it lessons the budget stings. I'm getting in ready mode. Thank you for the info Gogo and E.

I agree with everything you said about girls and prices and I find the Dominican Republic to be a very beautiful country.

When one lives in either Colombia or the DR one should be getting decent enough prices for top shelf girls to the point where I don't worry about it, I don't lose my mind over paying 1500 pesos vs. 2000 like most of the guys on here do, it's ten bucks. I did not find my food costs to be higher in the DR at all but if it was it is negligible or I would notice, I eat almost all my meals in restaurants to be truthful. Taxis are much higher in the DR but I own my own car so it is not an issue for me, if I did not own a car I would rent in town and no car is needed and when one goes out of town public transportation is plentiful and dirt cheap, I have numerous friends that live in Sosua and don't own cars and don't spend big bucks on transportation, no need to. All that said I'll repeat what I have said in previous posts, If Colombia had a nice beach in an easy to reach safe area I would be living there right now but there is no such place so I picked up and moved to Sosua and love it but if going to the beach almost every day is not important then Colombia is the bomb, go for it, Colombia is a beautiful country. To each their own.

New Life trip
