I was not aware that Oilies started to take off 11 years ago. Simply because that is when I first tried Tulip and other Oilies not much earlier. In my early times I was mainly a Soapies customer, but they declined badly over the years, for levels of fun and service.

In early 2000's I was coming back to the bar scene after a few years absent, and was difficult because I did not have much clue what the prices should be. The steep rise had already happened some time earlier I think, given that bargirl LT in 1991 was 400 to 500 Baht (plus BF maybe 160 Baht roughly). Right now, prices seem to have doubled again, since early 2000's (or is it tripled? Doubling over say 15 years is not that ridiculous. 4. 7% compound interest. Maybe a little steep. If tripled that is too much.

Prices remained low in Oilies due to the continual drop in quality of the girls, and the continual increase in the competition, any other factors? The Bar scene never had that level of strong competition, and got flooded by the Japanese customers too.
