I was just talking to one of my contacts in Shanghai and she mentioned that Judy's and Manhattan charge the WG about 1000 rmb every week or so, otherwise they are no longer allowed at the bar. I'm not sure if this is true for every girl but I saw her wechat conversations with the manager for Judy's. Anyways do with the information as you will, I thought it might help some of you in negotiating.

Yes, when The Spot was moved, a few months ago, next / above J: the WGs were obliged to enter the Spot first and have a drink to spice things up. Seems that the 2 places had the same management. BTW, The Spot should not have moved, it was perfect with the outdoor seating, I don't know the new place on The Nanjing road corner, but will try it next time.

I'm calling this the Muslim jack shack due to having gone on a Friday and realizing it was smack dab in the middle of the weekly Muslim market. And my girl looked kinda turk-ey (not turkey). You can search Muslim market to find the location, but won't do you much good as you have to be led into the shop (no store front). It's a simple mom-and-pop-and-gang operation, there is a waiting area you can view the girls (one-by-one). There are probably 8-10 girls there. I saw 6 of them, they are all passable, no fatties, and none over 30 (in my estimation).

Anyway the Peace Hotel is a great historic 5 star hotel, but getting to it can be a pain because of traffic.

An interesting custom in China is that women keep their name after marriage. So anytime a man and woman check into a hotel they will usually have different family names. When I was in Shanghai in July I was staying at the Fairmont Peace hotel on the Bund, because I had promised my Chinese lady friend we would stay there. I am coming in from Beijing and she is already in Shanghai, so she beats me to the hotel by a couple of hours. She just tells the front desk that she is my wife and hands them a credit card and they go ahead and let her check in. When I get there and check in they tell me my wife is already in the room. Many 5 star hotels have restaurants on the 2nd, 3rd, and / or 4th floors. You don't need a key card to access those floors, so you can meet the girl on those floors if you are ordering outcall. If you are walking in with a girl, then as someone else mentioned, try to do it as early as possible, like before 10 pm or 11 pm. Otherwise, it will may appear obvious that you are bringing a WG into your room at 2 am. But even if you do bring a girl into the hotel at 2 am and security asks you to register the girl, then just register the girl. Yeah, pretty much every 5 star hotel has security on duty. But the hotel really doesn't care that you have a WG in your room. They only care about protecting you, since you are their responsibility.

Most 5-star will be supportive, but if they ask the girl to register, register her. Just follow their lead, they are looking out for you. This is assuming your girl can register.

Try to get back before 10-11 pm, which may not be realistic from KTV / bar.

If you don't register, I've been in elevators with the cops and hotel manager going to some poor unsuspecting fool's room. Don't use "look nearby", I don't think entrapment is a thing here.

I was just in Judy's and Manhattan last week, so I can confirm business as usual as per the excellent report.

I pulled Linh, a 21-yr old innocent looking pretty girl from Judy's one night, and then Lisa, a 32-yr MILF with a good body from Manhattan the next night.
