Tinder was good again, I actually prefer this, especially midweek as then the girls in bars are more pro. My best experiences as with Dar es Salaam was on dating apps.

At first stayed Mtwapa at luck apartments, 2500 per night but negotiable. Good basic apartments. Then moved to a studio in Nyali for 2500, I prefered being around here, its more my scene, bars have better atmosphere with lots of locals, great music and dancing, not just a brothel that mtwappa can feel like.

Can use uber, though tuk tuks not always available. Safe boda app is good but again not always available.

Start of the week not many people and quality no better than Mtwapa just dressed better. But Thursday-sat very busy and quality went up. I was in here a lot being near my apartment, came on a few dates and a good night out. Busy 11 pm.

Moonshine bar.

Late afternoon, sometimes 2-3 girls. People only come here at night on weekends, they charged 1 k entry on a Saturday but wasn't busy. I heard Sunday was the best day though.

Hypnotica.

Another regular place, Thurs-Sat will be busy 12-1 am. 1 k entry Saturday. Similar girls to anuba as it's just across the car park. Had some amazing nights out in here. A Shisha place.

Sheba.

Seems to be the top club, Friday busy and quality high, on a Saturday no entry charge and absolutely packed by 1 am.

The streets around nyali at night are full of hookers, especially on a weekend. Some don't look bad but not something I would entertain.

I was generally paying 3 k, mainly seeing girls from apps and didn't feel the need to mention money, just had a good night out, drinking, dancing and then invited them back giving 3 k 'taxi money' in the morning. Though did pay 4 k once to a girl from anuba, they want 5 k in these places. She was poor though, too pro.

If going to Nairobi from Mombasa the best option is train at 4. 5 hours and only 1000 ksh economy but it was already fully booked a week in advance so I had to get a bus which took 11 hours for 1300,3 hours was probably traffic entering Nairobi. There is dreamline bus office next to the bunga bunga bar in nyali, saves going into town.

Mate. Don't kill the market for the residents in Mtwapa. Mtwapa is lower end of the market. The same chica which asks 5000 in Sheba or Anuba goes for 3000 in Cheers and Casuarina for 2000 all nighter that is.

Price for ST in Mtwapa is 1000 ksh MAX. ST can be from 30 minutes One shot to 3 hours 2 Shots.

Overnighter / LT 2 to 4 Shots 1300 to 2000 ksh.

NEVER pay more than 2000 in Mtwapa or you will be tarred and feathered by the local muzungu residents and chased out of town. If you like to pay 3000 stay in Nyali with the overpaying Tourist / Expat crowd.

Street girls are located around the Kenol petrol station area.

Cheers has plenty of choice from 10 til midnight every night these days. I've not ventured up to Casarinahs but I'm told it is the same after midnight.

Sheba had some stunners in on Wednesday night.

Nothing wrong with Mtwapa as long as your sensible, I've never had a problem there, I sometimes have a daytime soda with a few ex pat friends and go to Casarinhas at midnight for an hour or two to grab a lady when I feel like it.

I think you will regret lumping in 10 days with the same one.

After extensive research on this forum I booked my flights to Mombasa and booked in at the Jambo Travellers in Mtwapa.


I had signed up to Afro Introduction dating site and had been messaging a few girls before my arrival.
