You don't think there might be some burn smell in the room and some security problems?

BTW, that does not appear to be a fire that did not cause too much damage.

Alas in Pattaya or Bangkok you're never far away from the nearest building site.
Fresh big building site spanning soi 2 and soi 3, on the quadrangle contained between the following 4 hotels: Sabai Lodge, Sabai 2 Inn, Mytt Beach Hotel, A-One Hotel. If you stay at A-One a room on the Beach Road side could now be ok. The building site I'm referring to started about 2 weeks ago.

I highly recommend this place. Clean, cool, spacious and great service. The room is huge, the bathroom as well. Breakfast buffet was very good, many selections. I had a lady in the room and there was no problem, as is probably the case with almost any hotel in Pats. Internet worked well and they had a fully stocked mini-bar that included condoms!
The location is tucked behind Soi 6 and recessed from Beach Road, isolated enough from the craziness but close enough to easily access Circus Soi 6.

The exception to this rule and the reason I am making this post is that on Tuesdays and Fridays before 7 pm or so the baht buses are unable to turn right on South Pattaya Road because of the day market. Then yes you would have to catch another baht bus from Tukcom to Beach Road if you didn't want to walk. On many days it's faster to walk anyways.

Was thinking very strongly of booking the Holiday Inn Express based on the various reviews I have heard. Seems like a more clean and decent option for the price. I just wanted to double check with my fellow punters out there that it was indeed girl / guest friendly. Thanks again everyone.

Spent my first night here on Day three of my Pattaya adventure. The hotel is very nice, modern and spacious. I like it a lot. Location wise it is just across an alley from Soi 6, thus is a bit quieter than the Queen. I recommend staying here for your Son 6 adventures, if you want something a little more upscale from the Queen Victoria. I had a girl come over and they had her leave her ID at the desk. When she left at 4 AM, they called my room to see if everything was OK.
Nice place, comfortable, clean and strategically located to the Beach Road end of Soi 6.

Had a nice two-night stay here. Comfortable, classy and right in the middle of the Soi 6 action. Very economical, about 900 baht per night I think. And regarding my earlier post when I thought I saw a bed bug there, no, it was just a generic insect. I highly recommend the Queen for its location, price and ambiance.

For first timers, I usually recommend the Whitehouse Condotel, mostly because the location is so convenient. You can probably book one of their basic rooms for about 1,600 baht per night. There are other hotels on Soi 13 that are within your budget as well. Speaking of budget, people from all over the world read this forum. So the convention is to quote all prices in Thai baht.

Posts: 164Request for advice regarding hotel
Hello friends,
I shall visit Pattaya for the first time soon and may stay 1-2 nights there. During day time, I would like to see around the city and from evening onward, I plan to have some adult fun! I don't have much idea as of now regarding the hotel rates. I hope to get a comfortable hotel at 30-50 USD. Please suggest if this is reasonable. Can you please suggest some girl friendly hotels, where I can come with different girls for short time / over night fun? I shall not bring multiple girls at the same time, but may want to have different girls at different time. Please help.
