Part 1.

ISG and lots of internet forums has given me motivation to do a solo trip to BKK.

There are separate forums for MP, smooci and gogo. Hopefully this gives an insight of what Bangkok is.

Total of 7 experiences.

Key observations:

Do not exchange money in airport. Travel to city and areas like pays Thai have decent exchange rates.

Location wise any hotel in asok mts train area is good. Trust me accessible to everywhere.

Always try train first and then cabs. Worst case motorcycle lifts. TukTuks are mostly ripoffs.

Don't negotiate too hard in gogo. Best you can do is extract most on the quote. That shows you are not cheap.

When buying condoms do ask for large, text was in Thai and I bought condoms that are small was shocked that they fit only 50 percent of my jhonny.

Most MPs offer two pops to unlimited in time. Check before you enter and don't hesitate to ask all your fetishes or fantasies.

Being Indian is a disadvantage. I heard Pattaya is too much racist. But I have observed in Bangkok too. Ya ya, I am well dressed, wore perfume that costs too much and smiling all the time for f sake. But still, I have faced issues in rainbow (guy said, you are not welcome here) and baccarat, entry fee 200 for you and all this stuff.

Billboard is certainly not known as a LB bar. He could have easily got mixed up between bars as lot of LB bars nearby. Surprising a guy would know which LBs were post-op anyway other than by rumours. I have never seen a post-op constructed "pussy" live in Thailand at close range (only a peak in the door at Voodoo and that was big bush LB). Never seen a LB dick live either. Only the tits to date.

If you're taking them back to your hotel room they may be open to letting you snap some pics of them, just ask. Or hold out your phone and ask if you can take a pic and she'll get it. It may or may not work. As for videoing it. YMMV.

I am not sure what you mean. I went there early December and each and everyone had to buy a drink before entering the bar. It was the first time that I could not persuade them that I was a regular drinking customer and had to buy a drink before entering. The night was great, with lots of beauties and a few shows by six ladies that danced with bikini, then topless, then naked. Late December there were only a few beauties. Buying drinks was only asked after entering and it was just a bit dull. In no way was anybody barred from the club on any of these nights.

You're right about the feeling about Indians-much of it justified. Almost all the night spots allow Indians in, but you may not get a nice welcome. However, if you're well-dressed, polite and reasonably good-looking, I think you should be able to do all right.

Discrimination is rampant all over the world. Do not take it personally. With plenty of entertainment options you will not be using your hand. Who cares if the establishment likes you or the girl likes you. You are there for fun.

There is no one nationality liked all over the world.

Might interest you know that mainland Chinese are not well considered too, due to extremely bad manners in Thai View, and lack of respect. Viets also have a bad reputation. Australians had a bad reputation for sneaking out of Hotels without paying in the old days. English have a bad reputation for being loud and foul mouthed (bad swear words). Some hooker girls don't like white westerners and prefer East Asian customers (easier customers).

I have had good friends that were Indians, but I can still be irritated by groups of Indians in a similar way to the Thais, although skin colour is not a factor for me in the slightest. I just don't like sitting near roudy groups or near strong underarm body odours, regardless of country of origin. I don't regard it as prejudice. Many of us just don't want to sit and tolerate something that irritates our senses in some way. I could easily have same problem with those from my own country.

Many things that we do are disgusting to Thais. Therefore it is wise to become aware of Thai culture and values and try to behave in a way that is moderately compatible.

Agreed. I can't tolerate too group of people who are rude or "rowdy". For me I see so many Chinese, like you said, who are extremely rude. Most of them are very young maybe in their 20's, and they are also mostly in groups of 3-4. Worst part, they pay no respect when they are walking around, how many time I have seen them drunk and coming in front of car accidentally.

They maybe easy customers for girls (333 rule haha), but usually very annoying punters to sit next to.

I am 33 dark skinned male from India doing a solo travel to Bangkok and Pattaya for 2 weeks. I did RTFF and realized we Indians earned a bad name there. Are there any specific gogo bars or places where Indians / dark skinned guys are not allowed? I wanted to avoid the embarrassment and spoil my mood.

There are prejudices about foreigners from many different countries, for a wide variety of reasons too, some cultural. So Indians are not singled out, however groups of Indians in particular are considered to come with certain problems: very low spending, noisy / roudy behaviour, challenging and not wanting to pay the bill, body odours especially underarm that Thais are not used to. White westerners can stink badly in Thai view as well.

All these prejudices arise from experience of people from certain countries, even if not all of us fit the reputation. Skin colour may be a factor but for sure it is not necessarily the dominant one, some Thais being quite dark skinned themselves.
