Whenever I set up an appointment with one of my El Centro regulars I always inform them that they cannot be late as I will not tolerate it, but I do at times. If they are not on time, and haven't called me with a legitimate excuse and won't be more than 30 minutes late, I tell them I am not available. So after they have missed a pay day, and have been benched, they now pretty much show up on time.

For others, some of which that I schedule a day or too out, I am much more flexible as things come up regarding their kids or whomever (boyfriend).

One thing I hate about the tardiness is I never say can you be here in a hour, and then she says yes, and of course she is late because she wanted the date, but knew a hour wasn't enough. Day 7.

But they won't learn. It would be great if they did, but it's simply not going to happen. Each instructor I had at EAFIT, for my Spanish classes, joked repeatedly about the Paisa lack of time sense.
