Here on the Darkside, not sure if they really understand the problem since the majority don't use much water anyways. For a while now they have been selling Songkran shirts and water guns. Today overcast over the house but down the block sunny, it rains for 2 seconds at best then another front hit again an hour later that was much heavier 2 minutes.

Nevertheless, water doesn't seem to be a problem for the government in my area, this week they were washing down parts of Soi Siam again, the Pattaya United Stadium they still water the field like clockwork and last week trucks loads of water running up and down Sukhumvit watering the medium.

At 2 pm I went into town wanted to see any progress with the new suggestion. Came up Soi Siam the tent was still there soldiers were helping locals fill out forms that need to travel in and out of the checkpoints. With the suggestion of a checkpoint at Pattaya Klang/ Aroi which is right in front of Big C extra wanted to travel the backway to see if they will block it off maybe too early but no cement blocks as of yet nor any sign of any tent in the area. This is important since I want to know if I can still go to Big C after the 14th from behind?

    Missing the bigger picture

    You overlook some pertinent facts.

    1. The virus has been more prevalent in Bangkok. Well off Bangkokians may look to escape the city for somewhere with fewer cases if the numbers spike, which mercifully they have not yet.

    2. Next week is Songkran. The public holidays may have been postponed but to Thais it is still Songkran, which means more than just the water fight it has developed into around here and elsewhere. Normally a significant number of Thais pack up the pickup truck and head to the beach for the week.

    3. There's a total ban on alcohol sales in Bangkok. Also in Rayong. Restricted hours in Chonburi but no outright ban, yet. Another reason for Somchai to head here for a few days.

This exodus from Bangkok is what the hotel closures, checkpoints, etc are seeking to prevent. Agreed, trying to do it by blocking off Sukhumvit was not a good move.

Yes. I have always tried too hard to do things my way, as I would like things to work out. And then got disappointed.

    Next time different tactic.

Which was some bullshit. Out of all the days I picked to go to the beach. We went to Jomtien and just finished eating on the beach. I was about to go get into the water when the thunder and lightning started moving in. We packed up and left. Now we are inside looking at TV and it is still sunny and hot as ever out.

Now you are starting to get it! It makes no sense you are right! They are trying and mean well just grasping for straws like everything they say and do things so the people think they care for them. The reason at one of the old checkpoint where I have coffee they were waiting for the truck to pick up the old tent and move it I guess to Pattaya Klang? I heard one of the soldiers talking to the girl who makes my coffee from their research majority of the vehicle's backup comes for people needing to get to Rayong and Sattahip? The reason they are moving the checkpoints West of Sukhumvit?

Believe or not there are just too many people and movement of the citizen on the Darkside to contain? I'm more worried about water these days than the Virus!

Yesterday an asshole (not Thai) took me to task in the elevator. He bursted out "ever heard of Corona!?", pointing at the zombie mask plastered over his ugly face. Moron!

The holier-than-you-you're-infecting-me attitude goes up a notch with every day that goes by.
]I will just offer the following true story from west coast, Santa Clara, California. My wife is a physician and is currently treating patients that are positive with Wuhan Communist China Covid Virus. She deals with the hot floor at a very large hospital in Santa Clara Valley. We had not been out to shop in about ten days and went early to Costco. We are both wearing masks, I was wearing some leather driving gloves for the hell of it. We are maintaining six feet spacing as are 95% of the people in line to get into the store. But not the guy lined up behind us. He was all over our world. Not that I minded, I did not think he was going to give me a damn thing. But the smarmy smiling face guy is looking at both of us assuredly as if none of this is necessary. Big stupid smile and standing within an easy arms reach of either my wife or myself. I wonder what this asshole would have done had I told him is that he had joined the space of a physician that had been on a Covid hot floor the evening before? We were doing our part to protect those around us. This guy could give a shit and made some interesting assumptions. You might want to consider that we might be trying to protect you from us. Just sayin. (fwiw, Google "santa clara county covid") her battleground.

Well they are telling the truth. There is no gogo chick in Pattaya that wakes up at 12,13, or 14. If you go to the market at 1700 you will see them in their pajamas coming to get food, having just waken up. It will NEVER work out the way you are trying to do things. If you want them to go to the beach with you the next day then you need to have them stay with you the night before.

The girl that I am with now went to sleep (2300) hours before I did (0300) last night. She has received plenty of messages since. It is now 1000. You think she has awaken to see that shit? No. And we planned to go to the beach today as well. I had her bring her things when she came last night. You just have to tweak your strategy.

    Revision April 14th.

Old checkpoints will be abandon new ones will be setup.

Marrevit School which is across from the Banglamung Police station North.

    Pattaya Nua (Bus station road).

Pattaya Klang at Soi Arunothai (Big see extra).

    Pattaya Tai (Soi Kho Pai).

    Thepprasit Intersection.

    Intersection Boon Kanjanagran Temple.

    Yakan intersection.

Basically, these checkpoints are position to lock down the people living in town allowing more travel on Sukhumvit.

Those girls are not right in the head. Must be lead poisoning.
I'll stick to Thaifriendly for new recruits. Quality not far above Beach Road but less brain-damaged.
Forget about this girl. They are not retards, they are hookers. They play a game, just like we punters do. You can't trust most of these working girls. If you stay in Pattaya longer time get many girls numbers on your phone and chase multiple girls on a given day. One will come to you for a fuck eventually.

This has happened so many times. Only a few agogo bar girls, which I have managed to lure them to my hotel room in the afternoon for a bonk.

Just to spoke to my cousin, he said he has no intention of going down to Immigration Jomtien for whatever reason especially standing in line in the hot sun! His reschedule flight is for May 5th, said he was planning to pay any fine if requested at Immigration when leaving that was prior to receiving a phone call from the Station manager of Eva at the airport apologizing for the mistake sending out a false confirmation of the departure on the day he departs the manager will make sure of his check-in and assist him through immigration to ensure there are no problems if they don't move back the date again? I guess when you don't travel the economy class route you are entitle to some special treatment?

Thanks I will let him know.

No need to go to immigration. The prime minister signed that all foreigners whose visa was to expire March 26 or after gets automatic extension until April 30. Sucks for me because I went on April 2 and paid 1900 baht for my extension.

These guys are a work of art at times! Ten years ago they build a new road parallel to the trains tracks, today you see 2 lanes in each direction when it was built it was 1 lane each direction it didn't make sense since people were turning the wrong way and driving down the wrong side. Then they decided to put in signal lights at all the intersections at a cost of 50 million baht, the first day they turn it on, traffic was at a standstill backed up for hours, then again when the tunnel on Sukhumvit was being built they came up with all these hair brain ideas how to divert traffic. Sadly I've seen Chinese fire drills glad I wasn't around last night!
