100 K in Plaza Botero is more than three times the going rate. Dominican workers older than 30 are not rare but I avoided them I think like you. Your instincts about Centro after dark are correct. I think you would find it easier to see past the undesirables to find the Pollo Negro and Surfer class providers once the sensory overload of being beyond the confines of escort sites, your apartment, and gringo centric neighborhood wears off. It is a big country that becomes more manageable and user friendly as you invest time discovering it on it's own terms.

This is a good time because typically a lot of the girls wouldn't come out until later, but the chicas are really hungry right now because the borders are closed and the quarantine put a dent in many of their pockets. They are just now really coming out in large numbers. I would suggest, if you see something you like, but don't like the numbers, get her info anyway because often a price can be negotiated later on. Also, be careful because there are a lot of youngins out there so try to verify age, if you have any doubts.

According to the article the cops think it's drug related, and specifically a conflict between the Niquia Camacol and Pachelly gangs. What I found so curious about the video is that she came out of the front driver side, and him the back driver side of a four door vehicle. Why drive around like that? Was someone with them who had gone inside one of the nearby residences? The kid coming out of the backseat apparently was unharmed when he first exited the car and ran, so there appears to be a real chance he could have sat still and been left alive. The car had dark tinted windows. He had no police record and was a moto mechanic. He also apparently had no capacity to shoot back. Sounds like you were kinda like a fish out of water in El Centro, and perhaps a bit of a tourist attraction to boot for some of the girls there being a foreigner. Something to consider in El Centro is that at least 99% of the girls clients are locals, and lots of times, the locals will just make offers to the girls as to what they are willing to pay. I have heard countless stories as to how the Colombian men try to low-ball them, so your in the company of cheap charlies as well. Additionally, being an obvious foreigner with limited Spanish speaking skills is going to make it difficult for you to navigate there as a newcomer. And as you found out, the smarter / hustler girls will try to play you with high pricing as you experienced.

With that being said, if you return, and find something you like, just tell them exactly what you want, and how much your willing to pay versus getting quotes or negotiating.

Additionally, it would probably not be a good idea to pull a girl from El Centro you have never been with before and drag her back to your apartment. Plenty of short time Hotels available for 2 to 3 hours with hot and cold water.

And as you noted, the best time to be there is in the late afternoon / early evening as there is a shift change with an overlap of girls who work during the day, and others arriving who work evenings.

My guess is you won't be going back to El Centro anytime soon.

The only thing that stood out, today, was it was the first time I've seen some one walking through Botero with a snorkel and fins. It caught me off-guard, which is tough to do in Botero!
