You got a hustle the fish is no more than 350 pesos maybe 400. El Presidente 70 to 120 depending on the sizes.

    Motoconcho 50 peso.

    Breakfast Pequena.

Lunch Ole or the little restaurant between both colomados on Duarte. You will see people eating on the outside there is no inside.

Or frio hot on the strip. The Nancy on the beach. Boathouse on the strip.

Dinner. The Greek restaurant a quarter mile up from the park on the left hand side (the best choice) or further up on the right side in a place called the truck stop. It has 7 or more places to dine. Each place offering a different type of food.

All of these areas or walking distance from the strip.

Boca Chica newbie on the ground now

For our regulars, any recommendations on good places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner not so high on prices? Last night, I ate fried fish at a enclosed nice spot on Calle Duarte that sold desserts etc. Forgot the name, but the fish was 900 dop and had no other accompanying sides and the cerveza (Presidente) 200. The fish was amazing tho. Also average motoconcho ride cost within a mile upto 3 miles?

Yes sir I do Airbnb all the time and you can get some good deals. The average one bedroom place goes for about $40-$45 a day. The average 2 Bedroom goes for around $50 to $65. Keep in mind Airbnb charges a service fee and sometimes a cleaning fee is added at the end of the price. The service fee is based on the number of days you stay. Cleaning fees are a one time price added back in by the owner of the apartment. Not all apartments charge you cleaning fees.

I think this is for more experience Mongers. Security is not a big issue and unless stated in the rules you are allowed to have guests at your convenience. That can be a double edge sword for those that are less experience in dealing with controlling SW.

The main thing is location. If you don't plan on having a vehicle; try to get an area near the beach. That makes things easier to work on foot. It is the focal point of tourism and other convenient services.

Don Michelle basic rooms come with a Nice bed and safe. However, no personal balcony, kitchen, and living room which is standard for the newer cheaper room.

I remember Mr. Gogo was stuck on DM until I convinced him to try a different place with more space for less money ($40 no tax) He hasn't been back since and I don't think he will ever go back.

Girls with ID are no problem. Some chicas hang on the outside.
Thanks for the info. I updated to a queen room for $61 USD a night (with tax).

I chose them because they are close to The Boat House and being on the beach. TYIA.

You picked a rough time to spoil yourself. I realize you might be on vacation and those are the days you have to go on. Right now almost everything in the DR is dead particularly as compared to 5 years ago when you last took a trip. Right now the DR is under a nationwide curfew. How things will be in December is anybody's guess. Just keep an eye on the message board and other Dominican news websites and make your decision then.
