You are correct but I like to fantasize about going. When I read about the types of services available in some African countries, if makes me wish I could go and partake. I also like the culture. But I am scared to go since I would stand out like a sore thumb. I know some people have the types of traveling jobs that allow them to visit those countries but my job does not allow me to travel.

I am satisfied with Monterrey for the foreseeable future. I know my way around there already and its cheap to get there. Monterrey is very dynamic and can uncover new places to get serviced if you like to explore.

I always thought an Rx from MEX would be legal for U.S. but that thought process could actually get you in trouble thinking you bring more than 50 dosage units back.

Key is 50 or less dosage units no Rx needed if legally declare. And if a MEX Rx the same still not to exceed 50 dosage units. All this too only via land border. Loophole doesn't work if flying ANYWHERE even if from a boarder airport.

To bring back more than 50 dosages ONLY a U.S. Dr. Rx (DEA registered) will be legal.

Wouldn't it be great if could bring 50 dosage units of chicas LOL? Declare her at the border. if 2 pops per day then she gets 25 day Visa but only with you!

A concern with caution to bringing back your 50 dosages across the boarder is what if you then fly back somewhere in U.S. TSA or local police may not be as knowledgeable in this loophole and at a minimum could detain you and possibly file bogus legal getting on your record. If do this at least keep copies of your receipt from Mexico and date time printouts from USCBP to protect you.

Lot's of it in West Africa, many pretty girls in Nigeria but that is a rough place to go. I would never recommend a trip to Nigeria that wasn't necessary. Many pretty girls in Abidjan, Ivory Coast between the civil wars but a little better than Nigeria. Douala, Cameroon has a nightlife scene that is unreal, bars and bars full of hot women but her language is French. My number 1 choice would be Ghana, English speaking, friendly people, lot's of hot girls. Fly into Accra and spend a few days, maybe check out the beaches in in which all of the beach bars / resorts will have many women there. After a few days there grab a short flight to Takoradi. There is a bar there called Vienna City that will be the highlight of your trip. Ghanaian people are friendly and the women love western men. Delta has direct flights there from Atlanta.

You definitely got lucky. The law says 50 doses but they will allow 2 bottles of the 30 (2 MG) per bottle Farmapram brand. In Nuevo Progreso you can but those at any Farmacia without a prescription/receta for about 16 USD per bottle. The Mexican doctor prescription has no validity at the border, only a US doctors prescription is valid. Just declare them and you are always ok 50 pills or 2 - 30 pill bottles. Also if you take 2- 2 MG Xanax every day for 45 days that will be the longest sleep you ever took. Might be a good idea for December 1st every year. When you wake up all of that bullshit is over.

This is my experience from 3 weeks ago for what it is worth. I was diagnosed with tongue base cancer and needed to have tests done, biopsy, ect. My US doctor gave me some Xanax to calm me down. I decided while I was in Nuevo Laredo I would buy me some and hold them if if needed them in the future.

I stopped at the Generic Pharmacy next to Emillianos and inquired about them. I was told I needed to go to a regular pharmacy and need to see a doctor. I asked if they had a suggestion for one. The behind the counter took me out to the street and called a guy over. He told me he could get me whatever I needed or wanted.

We agreed on 90,2 MG Xanax. He asked me to write my name on a piece of paper. He said give him 10 minutes and he would be back with the pills and a prescription. He asked for no money. About 10 minutes later he returned with a sealed bottle and a prescription in my name. I paid him his asking price and crossed. The Mexican prescription was written as 1 pill 2 times a day for 45 days.

I declared I had prescription drugs at the booth and was sent to the secondary inspection table. They went through everything included my blood pressure medicines in US bottles from CVS. They said I could not bring that much Xanax back. I asked why.

They called over a supervisor. He looked it all over. The first thing he asked was if I had declared them of if they had found them. They told him I declared them. He said with the Mexican prescription I had, I could only bring 50 doses back. I thought we quick and said the prescription said two times a day for 45 days, so I had 45 daily doses. The supervisor looked at me and said have a nice day.

I think I just got lucky on that one, but the trick is to declare what you have and appear honest.

Crossed Wednesday night 11:30 pm, 2 hour wait Bridge 2. Finally tried Colombia Solidarity Crossing. Amazing no wait, Agent was cool, maybe took 2 minutes.

Be careful there is nothing around for about 15 miles each side of the border, so make sure you have gas. Probably better to cross before 10 pm, very dark there.

I don't think CBP cares much about Mexican Rx'es. They know they can be bought.

That is not what it says here, direct from CPB page: If a USA Resident wants to bring in a controlled substance (other than narcotics such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, or LSD) but does not have a prescription for the substance issued by a USA -licensed practitioner (e. G. , physician, dentist, etc.) who is registered with, and authorized by, the Drug Enforcement Administration to prescribe the medication, the individual may not import more than 50 dosage units of the medication into the United States. If the USA Resident has a prescription for the controlled substance issued by a DEA registrant, more than 50 dosage units may be imported by that person, provided all other legal requirements are met..

Therefore: No USA Rx =50 units. USA Rx 50 units.

Don't know I can make it any clearer than that.

I followed guidance posted on here and other TX border cities threads, validated last week on USCBP web-site and even brought printouts in case there were any issues. Worse case if I provided the date time printed material direct from USCBP web-site and they tried to make it serious I would just surrender the control drogas for my personal use only and apologize for any inconvenience. But the agent was knowledged of the loophole and no issues.

This weekend when I don't have to get up on set time will try half of one 10 MG tablet. I Googled the Pharma manufacturer from India and complaints against them for making sugar pills ineffective etc. But could find not poisonings or deaths. Nope to Dr. Note either side and Yes to generics. For a price, yes. The last time I was in NL, I had to pay about $25 just for a prescription of 60 pills of Zolpidem. Then I had to pay 675 p for a box of thirty 10 MG pills at Farmacias Benavides. If some brother has a better source, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PM me. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Of course you can, and legally, yes, you need Rx. However, here, as most of Mexico, everything can be had for a price.

I no longer have vehicle, it was totaled in Laredo TX. Their insurance paid me what it's market value was, not a lot of money.
