I actually have spent a few nights there with my favorite El Centro Sweetheart. It's right across from "stoner's park" where all the locals hang and smoke joints, do coke, drink beer, and other stuff. What a transformation for me going back over a decade ago, staying at the Mansions sister Hotel I think called El Castillo once, not understanding anything anybody was saying, travelling around by Taxi to Avenida el La Grief and Mayorista when it used to be good, but no more, and to now blending in with the locals..

I've never been on the balcony, but I've been inside. I posted a picture of the place 3 years ago and made some joke about it. The judge's order was within 48 (not 96 as before) hours of travel and with a quarantine of 14 days. But the health minister sent it back for more clarification. My guess is they wait til after Christmas to reinstate any measures.

It's just a private citizen & Judge in Bogota that wants resumption of negative covid test & quarantine in Colombia. The Minister of Health in Colombia says no test required for now, which is the headline of the article. You are also not under quarantine in Colombia currently. I'm headed there next week.

Yes I have frequented centro for a number of years and when things opened back up after the quarantine we were all relieved and hoping that things, especially the chicas and the vibe of the area, gets back to the good old days, well spent a few 4 hours yesterday in and all around centro and yes it was raining but I must say that the selection of chicas was about the worst that I have seen in years, I just hope that this was an off day.

Can anyone else share their experience on the selection and quality in centro.

I could see why using it to go to and from Parque Berrio, if you are staying near a station, would be ideal.

For those of you in town, the Christmas lights are now up, and a trip in the evening to Parque del Rio with a chica might be a nice way to kill some time and lead into dinner, drinks, etc.

Newb here! Looks like it's confirmed that Col want PCR test again. Is it worth going since they're also closing bars / clubs also beginning this week. Any other updates please let me know since getting ready to cancel ticket and refill my lube LOL.

I'll prob head to Sosua since they have that playa where you can chill during the day, whereas in Col I'll be stuck in a hotel all day unless I'm hunting. That to me isn't a vaca.

I can remember over a decade ago before the gringos started coming that it was actually more expensive than it is now, with the exchange rate being like 1,800 COP to the USD back then.

Conceptually for many of the newer members this may be hard to believe but it's true.
