    Covid Update

    Here's a little good news.

(See Coronavirus Covid-19 Bulletin #382/4 April 2021 for full text).

Active cases have been declining for around a month.

Despite the reduction in curfew hours and the significant increase in mobility, Covid-19 seems to be under control and spread declining in the Dominican Republic, as of the 4 April bulletin. The fewer Covid-19 cases are occurring as the nation is immersed in a nationwide inoculation drive. There is concern, nevertheless, that the great mobility of the population over the Easter Week holiday may bring a spike in cases. The effects of the Easter holiday on the spread of the virus will not be known until mid April.

The curfew is from 9 pm to 5 am on Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays and Sundays, the curfew is from 7 pm to 5 am. A three hour free transit period is allowed.

Open-air public spaces, such as parks and boulevards, can be used for activities other than social gatherings and always complying with preventive health protocols. Gyms, restaurants and bars are allowed to reopen to 60% of their capacity. A maximum of six persons per table is allowed, among other health protocols. Religious ceremonies are allowed three days a week, as long as they keep within 60% of the capacity of the church and churchgoers must keep their masks on during the service. Theaters have resumed showings under health protocols.

    (Many schools are now re-opening).

    Play safe!

    Here's a start.

Because "comfortable" has so many meanings, Questner's link provides good info on a basket of products, and you can find rental info on line depending on location, location, location. I'm only familiar with Sosua and PP apartments.

In Sosua, centrally located, close to beaches, supermarkets, restaurants, a vacation vibe in the air, a one bedroom condo, with pool, pool bar, maid service, and security (meaning no bars on your widows, doors or balcony) goes for around 700 per month, averaged out over the year.

Without most of the above mentioned conveniences, ex pats I know pay 350 to 450. Quite a difference.

A one bed apartment in a residential area of PP goes for around 180. Transportation required to the above mentioned conveniences.

PM me if you want pics of the places mentioned.

    Prices during covid

Reading the trip report for prices during covid. Things have change in the past year for girls.

I have been going to Sosua since about 2007. Gave up on long time. Too much hassle to get some action in the morning. So the going rate for short time in 2019 before covid.

I was paying 1500 p before 7 pm for short time. Sometime 2000 p. After 7 pm it was 2000 p for short time. Never had any problems with the girls turning me down after 7 pm. Plus I would give them one or two hundred tip for moto. (Going rate for longtime in town in 2019 was 3000 p).

If this guy want to spend 5000 p and is happy. It is his money. Just as long as he know what the going rate most other guys pay. You need to be educated on price where ever you go in the world before you get there. I am Asian expert on prices.

Its only one guy. Hopefully other guys will not follow and screw up going rate the girls usually expect.

    Excellent life report below Oakie!

I, and although I cannot speak for them, other readers appreciate the insights into your pussy operations. I live on the South Coast, East Side. So when I traveled to Sosua, I fucked when I wanted. I did not worry about the background of the girl involved. One was from the street, one from a bar and the other a waitress in a restaurant that I met after her shift. They all received DOP from me. Cash. Efectivo. You know, the suggestion that all the experts suggest. I choose not to reinvent the wheel.

My income is limited also. But I stacked, wrapped and invested my flow well during a brief period of working. That is what allows me to own a vehicle. So I am good money wise. I spend my money how I like. But I choose not to spend the majority of it on girls (of any type of designation or description). Like you, I do not have to. The money I do spend (at home) is much less than the money I have to spend when I travel. And both are not even close to what travelers report they are paying.

Sousa, Puerto Plata, Cabarete, Nagua, Boca Chica, San Pedro, San Cristobal, Bani, La Vega, Bonao, Moca, Santiago, Higuey, Hato Mayor, Boca de Yuma are just some of the places off the top of my head I have visited since living on the island. Barahona and Punta Cana have always been two of my favorite beach spots on the island. You see, I have put a few kilometers on the Gran Jefe Mobile since I got it!

Barter: exchange (goods or services) for other goods or services without using money.

"My contribution is picking up tabs for birthday parties, bars / restaurants, and the odd visit to the supermarket" - Oakie.

My guess is that you pay cash for all the things in the above list. Me too! I stick with cash. Not really down on the barter game. I'm a business man. And I keep my transactions at arm length using money. I have a group a regulars. Details of my operations can be found all over the forum and in my user blog. So, I will not repeat them here in the Sosua Forum. But a review of my blog will give insight into my pussy operations on the South coast that I have been running on the South Coast since I moved onto the island.

True game broken down to it's most simply element is giving a girl your "non-sexual" attention in return for them to give you there "sexual attention". That is how you get pure free pussy. Some post up in here they run game of that type. Others operate pure play for pay. Some do a combination of both. But I do not look down on others for how they get their pussy.

"No need to start a meter running, and tick off a menu before you bed down with a chica. " - Oakie.

You are right, have figured it out. But I knew how I wanted to run my operations since day one moving to the island. I have never had a complaint about starting a meter running or tick off a menu. Even with prostitutes. Never been my style. But you know that, since you have read all my posts carefully and demonstrated your knowledge of them by making several quotes without the need to even refer to the original text.

But since we are correcting, I'll state that you took my quote below out of context. Here is the context of what I said:

Nah, brother. Nothing is thinly veiled with you. You talk a good talk when it comes to diplomacy. But if you could play basketball or tennis you would understand that when you are responding to me your elbows are sharp under the basket while we are gaining position for the rebound. And you are hitting straight serves to the body.

We all in for the pussy. We don't love the girls! Vive Republica Dominicana! What a country! I shall now return to my regularly scheduled enjoyment of life. LOL!

Yep you clarified your misquote of my post.

Remember, The Man in the Arena once said, "If I post up something that is not accurate then I should be corrected (but that never happens). Why? I keep my game tight and my information accurate".

As for info on the SP situation here, check back on my posts.

Have you ever heard of bartering? It's something similar to shacking up with a GF or a wife. You provide certain incentives, and if you're lucky, they return in kind! No need to start a meter running, and tick off a menu before you bed down with a chica.

We have a close group of chicas in our social circle. Almost all have some kind of job, bartending, serving, selling clothes, nail salon, or otherwise making ends meet. They almost all moonlight by selling sex to ex pats regulars and generous tourists, so they don't look to me for any regular income. My contribution is picking up tabs for birthday parties, bars / restaurants, and the odd visit to the supermarket.

I'm on a limited, but manageable income, so I monitor my expenses on a daily basis, and once I hit my budget I cool off for a while.

In return I'm surrounded by beautiful chicas, who I can party with almost at will. If I do indulge, I hand over a propina, that doesn't demean her worth. But still "Dominican pricing" LOL.

For my first 7 years of visiting here I fucked scores of hookers, and enjoyed every minute it. But as I said, once you get organized here, there's no need to go to clubs, casas or massage parlors, negotiate with street hoes. Or pay for manicures, pedicures, laundry and good old home cooking!

I would imagine you have figured it all out by now, since you claim, speaking of quotes, "I have yet to meet a girl smarter than I am or quite honestly a man either."

    Good for you, Einstein! LOL.

But, we all decide to pay for pussy in our own way.

Have anything at all to say about the prostitution market that would not be strictly an opinion. Did I get it straight this time? This is an excellent example of why men in the arena do not pay any attention to critics. Years of posting here you will not find a single negative word from me about a trip report that anyone has posted. Unfortunately, I cannot file a trip report. Unless I fire up one of my vehicles and get on the road. And when I do that I have filed trip reports to various places that I have visited on the island. I live here (different part of the island). But I file life reports all the time about my observations and experiences here in the Dominican Republic. The interpersonal dynamics you see in the various posts. Well they are never going to change. But my opinions of things, well they do change. Some feel like disagreement when it comes to opinions should not happen. I am open to all views. But you do not have to be critical of another person to disagree with them.

    2. I certainly didn't pay 1,000 DOP in 2019. I think it was 2014-2016 or something. From 2018 onward it was 1,500-2,500, IIRC.
    Monger on!
It's all good Brother. Honestly, I do not learn much when I log in here. It is mostly for entertainment. My apologies if my aggressive writing style gave offence. It was not my intention. The prices you gave in your update were appreciated. Factual information from "boots on the ground" experiences are useful. Opinions, well everyone has those.

    1. Look I'm not a total dick. LOL. I do tip waiters, maids / housekeepers, drivers (unless we agreed on a firm price beforehand), and other service stuff. I believe in subsidizing low-wage employees who go out of their way to serve me. WG's are a different matter, but I'm not going into that again.

Have any of the experts thought that the poster may not intend to give gifts to prostitutes? Nah, that would require out of the box thinking. If you want to give a prostitute something, give her a tip.

If you want to give an girl you do not consider a prostitute a gift give her something small, inexpensive and useful she cannot get her hands on easily here in the Dominican Republic. But what do I know. I am not a expert on prostitutes like our frequent visitors or those who live in puta pueblos but do not frequent prostitutes but can tell you all about them. I live here. LOL!

    LOL!

But the USA Weekend warriors are a staple of the local economy here. They are still showing up, albeit in lesser numbers right now.

The locals here only complain there's not enough of them these days to keep the hotels and bars filled up.

Most complaints about them come from other mongers who blame them for spoiling the market. Likewise they complain about high "asking prices".

But who pays hookers, market vendors or used car salesmen their initial asking prices anyway?

    Gifts
