I think a place where you can walk to everything in 10 minutes can be found out by simply walking. Plus if you look up "The Free Society" on youtube they have excellent videos where they are doing just that.

I am not aware of prices of Casas in Sosua. I have not ever been to one there. In Santo Domingo / Santo Domingo este 5500 DOP are only the prices at the "High Class" casas. In my personal experience I have been to many casas in Santo Domingo / Santo Domingo este with prices quotes of less than that. A search of the Santo Domingo forum will reveal them.

But if you are a casa hater then you would not know this now would you? Still even if you hate casas that is no reason to spread information that is not accurate about them.

Except for Nevada the US does not have legal brothels. Prior to discovering the DR I enjoyed srip clubss and went to clubs all over the US. On a few occasions I did arrange hook ups The girls were freelancing and not affiliated with the clubs. I went to strip clubs not expecting sex but seeinng pretty girls take their cloths off was just fine. The 5500 quoted is the norm for most Casas with a few exceptions. Personally I was shocked when I went to my 1st DR casa and was quoted 150 for a in house 1 pop. This was 10 years ago in Punta Cana. The girls were all gorgeous. Beehe Un on here for for years and I will never understand those that go to a strip club on any continent and complain of the cost. They are modeled after their American sisters and the prices will always be higher than a brothel or street. Its asinine to go if you don't want to pay the prices. Some things just are not for you nor need your opinion regarding its need to exist.

Like you said, she is Venezuelan, not Dominican. Venezuelans have not invaded the island. They have only invaded Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. I think I have only ever seen mention of 1 Venezuelan being mentioned in this section and that was like a couple of years ago. The same type hotel that would cost me $45 in Sosua, costs me $25 in Santo Domingo. Taxi is cheaper in Santo Domingo than in Sosua. Maybe things are cheaper in the capital because there is a larger supply?

Why let that stop you it should be said that getting a test to get back to America has been made even easier as they will now come to your hotel to administer the test. Maybe you are worried about the possibility of coming up positive in that case ok it's unlikely but if you can't afford to miss time then that's fair.

There a few places to get a rapid tes, t one I can think of, Labitorio clinico same day testing, in at 9 am results by 3 pm In the plaza past bailies 2000 pesos.

No, you don't. The shots dramatically reduce transmissions, infections and severe cases, but don't eliminate them. It's been clearly communicated by the CDC, state health departments and the media.

On a personal level, vaccination surely didn't hurt me since I didn't catch the disease while being in close proximity to a few sick relatives for days before and after they showed symptoms. Just get your shots or it'll never be over.

3 weeks after your second shot you have probably 90% protection. There's still the 10%. And. There is a possibility (probably not a high probability) that people that are immune to Covid can still carry it in their nasal passages because the antibodies can't get at it there. Who knows. But, the big reason is that you basically have to have everyone wear masks or no one. Otherwise you can't enforce or do anything with public rules. Stores are not going to have the ability to determine if your claim to have been vaccinated and when is sufficient to let you in without a mask.

So. For the meantime, suck it up. Wear a mask. It really doesn't hurt. And it helps your fellow man. And when enough get vaccinated that this thing dies down everyone can take them off.

Long time Sosua Vet, FYI seems like TMBTS is down for a few days.

Any ways, kudos sirs lot of good info on this forum, will keep members posted on future trips, I average 4 trips a year 7 -15 days per visit.

Last visit 3 weeks ago was 2,500 / hour.

I went to foxy's yesterday and got quoted the following:

350 for ladies drink.

1000 for erotic dance.

5500 pesos for sex.

There is no way I am paying 5500. There has to be a list of known decently priced brothels: does anyone know any or where to find? Thanks!

I think that's highly unlikely. The Vaccination is to protect your body from the virus. It doesn't prevent you from getting the virus or transmitting it. That's the purpose requiring everyone to take a test to re-entry the US.
