Point is that some locals just like to come drink and dance with chicks.

I am going to beat this dead horse until it rises again. If you are from America you know that the law says 18 year old. So no, it does not happen to many a thousand of people. If she looks to young, then she is, otherwise she would prove that she isn't, even then it would be best to leave her alone, why risk it? The same frame of thought that you have that makes you believe that this -happened thousands, if not tens of thousands of times. Makes me believe that anyone that this has happened to, place themselves into a position to be caught and held accountable. If you cannot tell the age of a woman who is too young, here's a clue, she is too young. Stop making excuses for why certain individuals have an obsession with young girls. If you play with fire you ultimately will get burned. Stick to the girls who you know are older than 18 and you will never have the problem that you think tens of thousands of mongers are having. If the variable is removed then there is no way for the event to ever occur. Only seek out women who are 18 or older, do you and others who care to chime in get it? The girl must be 18 or older, if you have any second guesses about her age, she is too young. End of story, Pollo Negro is out!

What don't you agree with, the fact that I went there around midday and it was empty, but you went at 3, so obviously there will be a difference which is the whole point of the post to give BM's an idea of what's going on at certain times which I certainly find useful myself.

At least you have a good attitude about it, "(overpaid, but whatever)".

Nothing wrong with destroying the market for everyone else, and yes that includes you too next time.

Hey there's a place called Cocal look it up I'm sure you'll love it, oh wait I'm guessing you're one of those "mongers" that destroyed it and now.

You want to find a new place to shit all over, so you can then come on ISG and add injury to injury and write about it here.

    Muchas gracias from us all.

It's a possibility, but usually I have the opposite problem LOL Yeah, I know that it depends and it have risks, but after all I'm doing this in the last 3 years in 5-6 different countries and I got some experience. And honestly after trying toda la noche, since then this short time visits for me are not so much fun, to be honest. Again, it depends. Sometimes I prefer ST, some times LT. But these big cities are full with hot an horny semi pro's that are bored to death of their usual ordinary life. And when they say "fuck it" and decide to have some fun, then it becomes really interesting.

It's been years since I was in Costa Rica but I did run into that bone killing stench more than once in Costa Rica. I think it is connected to a yeast infection and guys can get it too. Maybe our health professional members can tell us more.
I've experienced that mainly in Asia. Costa Rica was maybe 10%. Never in Colombia or Germany.

The potential is there to get trapped

I am sure it has happened thousands, if not tens of thousands of times or more all around the world. I have had at least 3-4 situations over messenger on Facebook where I have spoken to someone, talked about what I am looking for, gave them a proposal and then asked if they had cedulla, and then discovered that this person is not someone I should be talking to. Although my intent is never to engage in a meeting, the statement you made is what I want to know about. Where is the line drawn in the concrete legally as far as US gov is concerned? If you so much as bring the subject up and try to negotiate an arrangement, have you gone too far? What is the legal boundary? Even if you back pedal rapidly when you discover the bad news, is there reason for major concern? I can think of a handful of circumstances where this has happened and it makes a guys stomach drop and blood pressure go through the roof. And since we live in a digital world now, you have to assume that someone is always watching. Especially on FB. Although I do not understand what this guys intent was or if he had knowledge of what he was doing, this guy you are talking about appears to have fully engaged all the way to the bedroom and went full dive into the swimming pool regardless if he knew it or not. Possibly multiple times. But my summary question is; if you stick your foot in the water, can you get it bit off? The law is the law. I would argue that no one is innocent in this world by accident or on purpose in every aspect of their life. We all do our best, and like you said; stay on the legal side, but I would say a lot of people here have slipped and had to back pedal before. I would find it hard to believe that no one has had this happen.
There is a different kind of electronic or "paper" trail left beind from a Gringo who is being conned by a too young chica with fake ID and a Gringo who is seeking. The key is from the moment you become aware that the person with whom you are communicating might be misrepresenting themselves, that you cut off all contact, and you send a copy of the message to your lawyer explaining why, and you will 99.99999% of the time never hear another word about it. I agree with zero tolerance, but most of Gringos who get busted for this are repeat, obvious, flagrant offenders and not one-off guys. I would also be concerned about the potential for blackmail from a chica, family, and gang from trapping a guy into receiving nude fotos across international lines, but again, what you do AFTER you find out the truth, is the key. Guys with "short eyes" really do have a psychiatric problem, considering the virtually unlimited supply of hot young legal chicas 18 and over in Medellin. There is no reason to swim in such dangerous waters.

JohhnyO said he was there mid-day. If that meant around noon or 1 PM, it will be sparce with a lot more girls out at the time you were there.

Maybe my post wasn't clear, a lot of the girls in El Centro are so poor they don't even have phones, and if they do, they have burner phones versus smart phones. Hence these girls are not going to have Interent service, Whatsapp, or E-mail. I do wish every girl I meet in El Centro that I want to see again had what you mentioned, but am lucky most of the time if they even have a phone. I'm not saying all the girls don't have smart phones there, lots of them do, yet there are lots as well with no phones or just burner phones.

Last week Victor Galarza accepted a plea agreement to plead guilty to several crimes related to sex with minors and production of child pornography. He has been locked up in MDC Brooklyn (Federal prison) since being arrested in October 2019 upon returning to the JFK where HSI agents confiscated his phone and found voluminous details of his criminal activities with minors. His guilty plea means he will face a minimum of 15 years in prison up to 30 years when he is sentenced next month. His plea agreement will likely land him on the lower end of the sentencing guidelines.

Always stay on the right side of the law gents. When in doubt, be smart and move to a situation where there is absolutely zero doubt or room for error.

And another issue the girls have is they get a phone, they don't register it with the carrier such as Claro, and hence the service is typically cut off after a month and they loose their number. So even if they have a phone, and you get their number, it might not be around long, let alone them even answering it based on my personal experience dealing with lots of the El Centro girls.

So getting their number's, yes, I always do of the ones I want to see again, but invariably, with the exception of a few, the numbers disappear after a while.
The what's app # should be carried over though; I also ask for the email address if I really want to see the girl again.

I wasn't there to tease her, and was very polite to her. And what she did ask for, at 40 K, was out of line, and although I'm not a local, she would of never quoted 40 K to a local, hence I laughed, and she wasn't offended. And in fact, afterwards I gave her another 1,000 pesos in coins when I departed which she thanked me for.

I tread on water when in El Centro, and if anything try to befriend people versus piss them off, there is a major "grapevine" with the girls in El Centro so pissing them off, and being rude or disrespectful is not how I roll.

Now as far the bath thing, well you must be down there a lot to have witness this three times and it's a pretty sad sight. Once was enough for me.
Always a good idea to be culturally sensitive, and even good intentions can have unintended opposite meanings. We would use the phrase in the USA "like apples and oranges" to emphasize differences. When I said that to my novia, "como manzanas why naranjas" my Spanish was fine, but she replied in earnest (translated), "Yes, they are the same, like two round fruits. " Jajajajajaaa, so true. Knowing the culture is as important as knowing the language.
