I'm in a hotel next to parque Lleras for the night. Just getting my bearings and getting some rest after a long flight. Tomorrow I'm checking into the mansion for several days. Will I be alright there or should I learn some basic Spanish? Also, any good casual restaurant recommendation near parque Lleras?

    Thanks.
Once you get to the Mansion, just down the hill is La Strada Centro Comercial (Mall). I'm not sure what all is still open inside, but there is a Parmessano restaurant there which serves decent Italian food. There's also a Burger King.

Not far from there are the Oviedo and Santa Fe malls. Each has lots of different restaurants. Crepes and Waffles is pretty good and there's a location in both malls.

    First night in Medellin

I touched down yesterday and stayed at a hotel near parque Lleras. Today I check in to the mansion. Couple of thoughts about parque Lleras. It's extremely loud at night. Honestly all I really wanted was to get some rest after a long flight and a hotel near lleras was a huge mistake. Just loud as hell. I did end up going out at night and picking up a girl to bring back to my room. She was alright, not great, not bad. I paid her 100 k which I thought was reasonable.

I have to say that Lleras is really not my jam. Too many people, too loud, and I don't like the idea of having to go out and pick up girls (even if it's just telling them "how much? Let's go to my hotel") I would rather just be spoon fed girls straight to my room. Hopefully mansion delivers this.

How reliable is photoprepagos? I don't see it mentioned much on forums but if it works well that would ideal for me. I didn't get Facebook set up before coming but have started contacting girls now (not sure if it's going to work). I might try out some casas and massage places as well to mix it up, but I think I'm done picking up girls in lleras or centro.

5 hours in centro on Saturday June 26

Wow the number of pregnant chicas, the vast majority of them vennies, out selling their prego tummies and heavily 'used' bareback pussy (hehehe) is startling and of which I have not observed anytime in the past 10 years in and around centro. Counted no less than 10 of varying degrees of tummy pop out.

It was slammed with action all around centro and Botero and the vera with probably the most people and putas and activity but again this was a Saturday afternoon.

Not A Good Idea To Order Anything Online Before Touching It

I was thinking maybe it's the credit card, so I used my Colombian Bancolombia debit card instead and still got the same message. Is it because I'm in the USA and the website is not properly working like it would if I was actually in Colombia? Anyone here have experience with this? I plan on ordering all the big ticket items (furniture, mattress / bed frame, dining table / chairs) online and in advance of my trip so that when I land, the stuff will arrive within days of each other. I already booked a cheap place nearby for a few days while I gradually furnish the new apartment. BTW, lots of affordable stuff online through the Exito and Homecenter pages. I might even try to open an Exito credit card to get the extra discounts, but probably not since that process could be a hassle.
I strongly advise against ordering anything online in regards to furnishings and appliances. And it has nothing to do with being able to pay for the items. I have been thru the process, and your better off to physically touch / feel everything your thinking of buying. As an example you may have dimensions for a refrigerator, yet it might not be all that good, let alone the comfort of a mattress. Actually your best bet for appliances will be Exito or Jumbo as they typically discount everything on the weekends, and if in stock can be delivered the next day. As far as furnishings, there are several stores that can deliver within a few days and you can see how comfortable they are. What may fit your dimensions and look pretty in the pictures mat be horribly uncomfortable like a mattress. You could easily within one day of physically shopping at an EXITO / JUMBO and a furniture store like Jamar have everything within a few days. This is just my advice based on personal experience. Also, when buying in person, at some furnishing places, not EXITO or JUMBO, you can negotiate for extras and or discounts, I did this when buying mattresses. Good luck!

Not many of the girls can speak EN at HM, but its not usually a problem to give a nudge and a wink. Those communications are universal and usually end you up in the bedroom in no time.

The staff though, mainly do speak EN, and of course all the guests do too (nearly all).

WRT to restos near Pqe Lleras. Just use Google Maps. There are doxens and dozens of restos within a few blocks, all walkable. Depends what type of food you want. I doubt my choices would be yours, but I love Zaaika (Indian), Dharma (veggie, great for lunch, near Pqe Poblado).

Chances are good that I will be in Poblado later today. Or centro. Haven't quite decided.

Try using a VPN to see if location is the difference.

Even some not so hot ones, lol.

I'd see them the next day in Botero, back to normal pricing, LOL.

    Enjoy!
Great advice. Both on the timeline for safety (basically get out of there when the sun sets). And "Why pay more for the same pussy?

I'm headed to Medellin the middle of July, so I appreciate your insights.

Was this the antigen test or the PCR, the latter is I think more sensitive, and perhaps you best confirm with one before subjecting yourself to the quarantine from a false positive, as you said no vaccine is 100% effective but at least with respect to avoiding hospitalization and death it's pretty close to that. Also since you are vaccinated you may clear this faster than most, so retesting in 5-7 days is not unreasonable I would think, particularly if you don't have symptoms.

This literally is my big concern about travel there at this time where it's running rampant. It can easily ruin return travel plans.
It was the antigen test. I have enough symptoms now that I'm pretty sure it's not a false positive. I plan on getting retested in 5-7 days and hoping for the best.

And my fav higher end food in Centro:

    Hacienda. Junin?

    Cafe Colombo Credenza?

I think I already heard Botanko Bistro (next to Casa New Life) closed.

Also if they reopen Hotel Botero let me know! Will do Hotel Nutibara otherwise but I love the top floors in the Botero facing west, great view, good breeze and less noise up high.
Versalles is open don't know about any of the rest of them.

Little context, it's my second time here, speak native Spanish, know the ways around Colombia and hopefully look Latino. First time it was all about parque Lleras and some Facebook and didn't work out really well as I got the junky kind of type of girls out of facebook. These girls are all about the tussi and would not give a good service, all they want is to buy them some more tussi and keep going.
I'll be there in a little over 2 weeks, so I am working on building my Facebook list now. Thanks so much for the hot leads with pricing and details! It really simplifies it for someone like me! I appreciate it, and I look forward to your future updates!

    COVID Predicament

For the record, I received my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the end of March. Before all the conspiracy theorists get started, the Pfizer vaccine is only 95% effective at preventing infection. Also due to some of my medications, my immune system is compromised.

As I noted before, I have been feeling pretty run down this entire trip. It is possible I was infected before I got here, and it's possible I was infected after arrival. At this point it's unknown.

This is very disheartening to hear about. Hopefully you will find a Doctor in Bogota that can deem you cured and / or non-contagious in a short period of time allowing you to return. I got my second dose of the Moderna vaccine in February and upon returning to Medellin I was like a dog in heat riding the Metro when jam packed and banging away at ground zero in all the Love motels.

For me returning to the USA about ten days ago it was a sigh of relief getting a negative test result, and I would of freaked out if I had tested positive, and besides being stuck in Colombia I can only imagine the grief it must be casuing you at home.

For guys who have not been vaccinated, I strongly advise against coming to Medellin right now. I know there are some other BM's that are going to cry foul on this, but right now Colombia is surging with more daily infections than ever before, along with the new 'variants' which are wrecking havoc in other Countries, even those with high vaccination rates.

And who knows, there might even be more lockdowns, and I hope not. I'm looking at returning in a few weeks but if they start that again I'm not coming.

Any additional information you can share on what you have to do / go through to be allowed to re-enter the USA would be appreciated by all because your not the only one who's going to be in the same predicament, and hell, it might even be me next.

And again, sorry to hear about this and hope your home soon.
