Day 2.

After a good night's rest and beach relaxation (people can shit on Copa's and Ipanema's beaches all they want but it is more than enough for the simple man who lives in the North), I decided to hit Centaurus around 7 ish and see if the hype was worth it. Well the amenities were fairly nice and the bar was a bit more spacious so that is a plus. There were about 15 girls and I would say that about 10 of them were doable and 6 were very attractive. Well, I touched down in Rio at midnight on Friday and got to my hotel in Copa (Pestana) around 2 am which was a breath of fresh air after 12 hours in transit. Early Thoughts.

So far, my experiences in the Tier 1 termas have been great. MC was around 500 for the time and Centaurus was a pricey 1 k (it would have been 720 if I chose the 40 minute time) for everything, including drinks. This may be the best barra housing option for relative newbies.

It will run about 50 USD a night, as opposed to less than 20 USD at Transamerica for monthly renters.

But the location is great, as it is in steps of metro.

The amenities are better, the apartments bigger, multi bedroom, more like the big tourist apartments in copa. The vibe in barra is Miami, the vibe in copa is times square. Neither is wrong or right, but one should choose per one's preference.
