Just to be clear, to those saying I'm a "scaredy cat" and that Medellin is not for me (albeit you are well-intentioned), my major issue is finding information and planning. I know Medellin is nothing like other mongering places I've been to which is why I'm trying to understand as much as possible, but the information out there is largely either outdated, contradictory or non-existent.

I've decided not to cancel my trip, but I'm now accepting that I'll pretty much have to turn up and find places to visit when I'm there (which takes me out of my comfort. And enjoyment. Zone because I plan everything to the nth degree (including mongering which so far has worked out great in every other country I've visited). Recommendations for places like La Isla, New Life, etc have been noted and researched. I really appreciate those recommendations.

And I have some good FB potentials now, thanks to lots of helpful DMs.

Who knows. MDE may just turn out to be awesome exactly because it takes me out of my comfort zone and is completely contrary to how I plan mongering trips! Haha.

Thanks all for the advice and responses. I've accepted the situation for what it is and will largely just roll with the punches (hopefully not literally) when I arrive.

    Trip report to follow.

Sounds like you have very limited time. I would just stick to the casas. Thenyou have no risk of no shows and can male best use of your time. Also no need to waste time in 'chatting' with girls.

But if you do feel the need, simply tell that "quiero conocerte". They understand well enough what that means, especially if you tell them you are in town only for a few days. .

I have been seeing all the responses and DMs and am very thankful so far. I don't have particular report in my mind. Some of you sent me easy explanations for a beginner Like me. I went back in the forum and you are right, the good stories font necessarily come from FB. There are sentences on the reports about having A FB girl ready just in case though. I will be hitting the ground and probably going to check out some casa first.

I think I was way over my head trying to cover all the bases from the start. Feel better now. Also got some additional responses via FB but I will leave that for the next trip.

ID rather check out Medellin first and the fact that things are scattered. Thanks for your feedback though. Osteos reports are great and no FB.

Few have enough skills as a fiction writer to truly entertain. Problem is fiction is of no value in a forum such as this where practicalities are the aim. It's at best useless, at work a bum steer.

Day time, you can take a Uber to New Life near El Centro, see the map and list in Mojo's post. New Life has standard price, pay after and it is cheap. You don't have to take anyone, in that case, buy a drink to avoid the fee which is 4 mil when I last visited. When you are done, go to Plaza Botero for sightseeing and just observe some street actions, you don't need to participate, stay in the tourist area where you can see police. When it gets dark, you can try the strip club Conejita. This is just across the street from Plaza Botero. You can find pricing and more detail from Mojo's post. Another daytime place to go is Fantasia Energy at Laureles.

At night, you can go to La Isla. It's a high end strip club. It is more expensive but the price is fixed so you don't need to worry about scam. The striper will ask for tip after dance. I just give each 2 mil. You can grope them or interact with them. You can get 2 mil bills from the bar or the waiter can get it for you. If you see a girl you like, ask about service and take her to the room. The price should be fixed. You can pay by credit card at the bar. You can spend several hours here..
This is definitely the playbook that mongers new to MDE should follow.

So, I'm sorry to ask, but I just can't find any info searching, and I'm getting a bad vibe.

I'm due to visit for the first time in November. I'm an obvious gringo, travelling solo, with very little Spanish (but I'm still learning daily). I'm really having second thoughts about my trip. I normally travel to Thailand where there are lots of expats to meet up with. But I'm really struggling to get together a plan from the information I can gather. Whenever someone mentions a casa or gives a recommendation (like Motel Ibiza) I'm noting it, but still I have no idea where I'm looking to visit when I arrive.

To add to that, I've been adding FB ladies and some of them are posting memes making fun of gringos. So obviously these are bad calls on my part.

I have 4 weeks to go, but still feeling as lost as I was 4 weeks ago when I booked my flights.

Are gringos really put down so much? I can't hide the fact that I'm a gringo!

Are there gringo-friendly places / casas? I don't plan to visit El Centro, and probably not Poblado also, given what I've read. So I'm running out of ideas for places where I'm not going to be taken for a sucker.

    Am I over-thinking things?
It has nothing to with over thinking things, but really about you, and how you've mongered in the past. I suppose you could stay at the Mansion, pay high prices, and have everything spoon fed to you, and perhaps find some comrades to hang with.

If not, you should consider going somewhere else that will be more user friendly and safer such as Sosua.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think Medellin will be suited for you. And this doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you, but it's very different than mongering in Asia.

And as far as being a gringo, well there's no getting around that, so I don't see how it even factors in to your thinking. You have no control over that, and yes, people may take advantage of you, and most of the time you may not even know it, but this goes with the territory, so you just need to accept it.

Good luck where ever you land up.

No offense, you sound like a scaredy cat. And I mean this with respect, because If It is that obvious on this forum, it will be very obvious on the streets LOL.

It is not hard my friend. There are no "gringo" friendly places. It is not like a cruise port in maui where they welcome you with dancers and flowers. It is simply the streets, the best comparison I can give is that harvey keitel movie bad leuitant in the 80's nyc. Except it really isn't as dangerous as it seems. It is a working class city, just don't go out past 8-9 pm unless you cab it to clubs and youll be fine.

Again, don't over complicate things, like MR E says, it really is simple. You see a hot puta, pay her, fuck, leave.

    Good luck.

    Jw.

    Approaching in public

    Hello guys,

I am going to MDE in few weeks and wondering how do you guys approach working girls in public spots like Plaza Botero with no Spanish speaking skills? Do the girls talk in English or do I need to use a phone translator app?

Never did any 8's or lower. Spent 9 K over 2 months. Had many real travels and adventures. Could have spent less. LOL or even more. Who is counting? Met some of the nicest, most stunning women on the planet. Also made friends with them and even fellow tourists and the people living there. My opinion of cheap mongers is at an all time low. Guys be nice to these people. they are in bad shape, help em out. My opinion of Colombia, it's way too much fun but be careful.
Yep some beauties for sure. Hope you get better but also know that in the meantime we will keep the chicas busy until your return, hehehehe.

    Much love!

    5th.

I got to boff my brains out with a new barely eighteen-year-old honey in El Centro who I named Bambi because she was flacca and innocent looking but she had her government cedula and she was far from innocent. She showed me a photo of her novia and he looked older than me but she did not know how old he was.

She was a personal referral from another puta who I have been tagging this trip in El Centro. I have never seen a girl with so much aquacera out of her pussy while at the same time showing absolutely no reaction on her face. She was not squirting but she was flowing.

I even got to see Catgirl and her new novia coincidentally shopping at a food market in El Centro while I was there. Ostee Out.

Kind of day that really makes me not want to leave but I'm peaking for sure and I need the the break. Ostee Out.
Got to love it when the stars align themselves.

I know most of the chicas that you show and write about, lots of fun for sure, were all basically fucking the same chicas at some point or another so "Sharing is caring" and we all care for each other.

Love it! And yes the lesbians and bi-sexual chicas need lots of dick too despite their claims otherwise.

I am planning my trip for next week and my understanding from everything I've read so far is to come prepared by creating a friend list and contacts for when you visit Medellin. I'm not at all social media savvy and I would rather not go through this process. I do not own a FB account and created one just in preparation for the trip. I am really bad at texting. When I'm going to a chica I'm trying to avoid rejection that I usually face.

I can understand where she is coming from by saying canson. They probably have so many people adding them and asking the same questions over and over again. My intention is not to bother her, but to know if she works and if I can have her as an option to plan my trip. My preference would be a place where you go and the process is as uncomplicated as possible. No prior preparation necessary. In a safe location. I'd rather not go through the whole Facebook process, but from what I've learned it is one of the most important aspects of trip preparation. If I didn't get this right correct me.

Hope this sheds some light on the why.
IMHO as living in Medellin for 4 years now, the really truly great unforgettable experiences are never ever planned or scheduled rather they JUST develop and appear seemingly out of no where.

This is the magic of living in Colombia as I never know when my next off-the-charts magical connection will come but it does come and happens often, about once or twice a month.

So the best advice that I can give is to have little expectations and just allow the moment to appear and when it does Oh lord have mercy.

I had one of these the other night with a 22 yo paisa, off the charts.

    Enjoy!

An old Beavis and Butthead show comes to mind. They were watching David Letterman's talk show and seen how poppin it was. So they decided to make their own talk show. Theirs was boring as shit with the whole show being pretty much dead air. Don't have the expectation of setting it off like Osteoknot if you are not Osteoknot!
