Hi all,

Hangler here. I'll be in Sosua next week looking for some relaxation and some fun on the side. I've been reading some of the reports (thanks to everyone who contributed) and with any luck, I'll be adding some of my own.

This will be my first time in the DR. Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish, but I'm hoping Google translate will help. However, what I'm really looking for is for some partners in crime who would like to meet up for a drink, dinner, whatever (I'm traveling solo, post divorce. Long story which I'll be happy to share).

Are there any members here who'll be there or already there and wouldn't mind showing me some do's and don'ts? Much appreciated in advance!

Well I've been here a few days now and have been out on the Strip the last three nights.

And last night I saw two pregnant girls working and a midget out. And it was a dinky midget, maybe a spinner midget?

Not that I'm into midgets, the last time I saw a working midget was in Cucuta, Colombia about three years ago.

Someone on the Strip said that during one of the last round-up's Cestur unknowingly picked up a tourist, however I find that hard to believe.

I don't think you entirely read my post where I stated that Medellin would be at least 1/2 the price of Sosua for the girls. My advice and recommendation for this poster was not based on price, but because he was a newbie with no Spanish speaking
skills, and that Sosua would be a safer and easier bet for him with lots of Chicas with big butts available.

The DR has your name written all over it, although there are plenty of beached whales, fatties in Medellin, and it will be 1/2 or less the prices in Sosua from what I can tell, albeit if you don't have strong Spanish speaking skills it will be more of a challenge in Colombia. If your a newbie to all this, probably Sosua would be your best bet.

Got to be kidding. Medellin is way cheaper than Sosúa.

All best laid plans go out of the window when you are mongering for various reasons. Keep an open mind and go with the flow. Remember the girls are more seasoned and can play you if you show yourself as a novice. Do not expect them to be your girlfriend. You may find a keeper but ultimately they all have some issues. Usually I like use and discard and get a new one.

Only girls I keep are non pros. In Sosua it is very difficult to find.

4) Your budget is the answer. The Alicia beach hotel discussed here is a good place. I prefer to stay in a nice rental, though.

Think you can have a good time. If you are 45 kg and shaved your balls too.

Yeah well it is going to be hard to find this too! You better reset your expectations to 5'5" 100 kg if you don't plan on being disappointed.

I would also reset your other expectations to 7000 per 24 hour period, but usually those chicks are trying to get up out of there after a 15 minute period. So negotiate at your own risk and remember that it means nothing. Whatever you negotiate, be prepared to pay double for half the time she agrees upon.

It is safe for anybody. I wear shorts and flip flops. You will look like a moron wearing a hoodie on an island in 90 degree weather and will probably pass out from heat stroke. The only language you need to speak is money. Read the forum for hotel ideas. Don't spend money on ripoff packages. If you do then buy it from me and I will make sure everything goes great for you. You pay what you negotiate. Girls are not really in bars; they are just roaming around the streets like sharks roam around the ocean searching for prey. Enjoy yourself, prey.

Last month I stayed at Alicia Beach Hotel. It's a great location within walking distance to Pedro, has an ATM right around the corner at Popular, and the rooms $42 a night. Had AC, warm water shower, electronic safe, and fridge. Plus, they serve a big breakfast that's included in the room price. I had French toast, sausage, home fries, and a plate of mixed fruit each morning to start the day. The owner is Irena, and I asked her about bringing girls back, and she said in her Russian accent, "No problem. How many you want at a time, one two, three?" They don't have a problem with it, it's expected, and there's no fee. Just make sure the girl leaves her ID at the counter before you go to your room.

Back in the day when Wilferd ran the place it was the bomb, including both breakfast and dinner in the room rate but cost a little more a night back then. The Russians have done a lot to the place, and Alicia beach is a world class beach just 100 yards down the hill. The Hotel as you mentioned is an excellent location not far from the Strip and Sosua beach. I used to stay there for a month at a time and am looking forward to staying there again next week.

I am thinking about spending a week here in the near future and I have some basic questions. I hope you guys can help me.

1) Is this area safe for scrawny Asian guys?

2) Should I wear nice clothes? I read that you can get robbed if you have bling. I tend to wear lululemon joggers and a nice hoodie to hide my scrawnyness because I feel the scrawneyness makes me a target.

3) I don't speak Spanish, will it be ok? I am able to get away with this in Tijuana and other parts of Mexico. Not sure about this place.

4) Where do you recommend I stay? Top 5 recommendations? Need a comfy place near the action but not in the center of it. Need WIFI. Want to be near good food and the beach as I don't plan to bang 24/7.

5) Do you ever use the vacation package sites like DRNights or CarribbeanRelax?

6) How much does a girl usually charge for overnight? Do you recommend it with girls from bars?

I am not sure if I have asked all the necessary questions. Please give me any other info you think would be helpful.
