Compliance is mandatory.

If you have a visitor, then the onus is on your visitor to scan before entering the Condo or Hotel.
Don't overthink it. It will all become clear when you arrive in SG!

Yes, you can turn off the Bluetooth and scan the entry QR code manually. In fact, I recommend you scan manually before entry.
This will avoid false positive alerts.
Sometimes, you will see an error message saying the App is not working properly. You can then restart the App or use Bluetooth.

Restaurants and Malls want to see the "Green" screen on your smartphone.
(Green indicates you are fully vaccinated and can dine in or enter the Mall).

If you are trying to avoid scanning before entry then this comes down to enforcement by the individual business.

I know it is the same in Seoul according to a friend who is been going there every two months until recently. I did not know that this is the case in Singapore as well. I agree, NYjimmy there is little point in trying to avoid scanning in if the shops asks you to do it. In Singapore the regulations are tight and most places enforce them willingly to avoid getting shut down. Singapore has about as many CCTV cams as London and when they find a black spot they roll out portal cams and put up lights. A good example of this is some of the back streets of Gaylang. One day it's a dimly light street the next it's got portable cam and new lights.

Point being even if you want hide that's it's you going to X, you most likely on 20 CCTV cams before step foot in the door.

My question is about the tracing APP (TraceTogether App) that visitors are required to install on their phone and required to have it connected and the blue tooth has to be on all the time. What if they link you to a massage place or an escort (if one of them is positive). Does anyone have an experience with this APP and the rules associated with it? What if you turn it off for an hour or two? Any information would be appreciated.

I've regularly used this in Asia, even in Singapore last week to arrange a hookup, well we would have hooked up if she looked anything like her old photos of being a pretty and slim Pinay instead of in reality being a fat dumpy Pinay!

In WeChat there are some buttons at the bottom of the screen, one for Chats which shows all your chats, another is Discover, if you tap this one of the options you get is People Nearby and you then see a list of all WeChat users based on their distance from you. On a Sunday in Singapore this used to be full of nearby Pinays especially if you're in the middle of the city, and even just firing up WeChat and Tinder and Blender could see you getting pinged by a lot of local ladies on those apps.
