El Centro has no police presence at night while Santa Fe does. El Centro also has a lot more drug users

If I'm arriving day time and traveling light, I'll take the bus to San Diego, if I'm staying in Poblado, Envigado or Sabaneta, then hop on a south bound bus. If I'm staying in Laureles, arriving day time and traveling light, bus to Nutibara, metro to Estadio. If one of my regular girls is available (and I'm not avoiding her for a few days), I'll have her pick me up.
Traveling heavy, or arriving late, straight to the taxis.
Except I'll probably be renting a car again next time.

Personally, I think going alone to La Isla is a waste of time. Get together with 3 or 4 friends, buy a bottle and get a table and it's a good time.
I think Parque Lleras, as a source for girls is overrated. It's better to go with a friend, buy a beer at one of the little stores and walk the streets. Maybe check out some of the clubs, or just people watch.

Posts: 112The Facebook rabbithole and my first day
Today was proof for me that putting the time into Facebook is worth it. As I mentioned earlier I've built up a list of about 600 girls as compared to 20 on my first trip. Now the interesting thing about Facebook as others have stated is that it starts to take a life of its own after you get a critical mass and its the girls that start contacting you that are the interesting ones. In my case, some are not prepagos and others are semi-pros or what ID call prepagos in denial.
As I'm writing this I just had one date with what turned out to be a prepago in denial. And have the next two days booked with other girls that have not mentioned a price at all.
I'll call my date tonight see. She's tall, thin with small breasts, a shapely butt and has a pleasant paisa face. She' told me she was 19. When I talked with her over whatsapp to set up the date, I asked her "necessitas dinero por el taxi o alyo mas" as a discreet way to see if she'd quote me a price. She asks me "que mas?" and luckily I remembered she had a daughter and told her for the babysitter. Anyway she arrived and we went to get hotdogs nearby (her idea) for 12 k including drinks, which we ate at the apartment. We then talked for a while. The sex was 120% GFE for all the good and bad of that term. She had me going down on her for half an hour and said she came 3 times. As far as the sex she couldn't hear of using a condom because she had an iud. Believe me I tried to insist but ended up giving in. She liked to get reamed hard was scratching and screaming up a storm. We had sex both in the bed and standing in the shower. But the bad part of the GFE equation was that she was not into blowing me. She did for a while but it was unenthusiastic and she told me she wasn't in to it. In sum though I had one of those classic paisa experiences that a number of you have written about. All in all she staid with me 4 hours before having to go home. When we left I got quoted the babysitting bill, taxi and gift for her which ended up being 170 k. So that's where ID say the prepago in denial part comes in. But all in all I have no regrets and definitely got my money's worth.
Tomorrow I've got a lunch date at a restaurant and dinner date (making pasta for the girl in my apt) lined up. It remains to be seen if they are nonpros or prepagos in denail /-semis. On Thursday I may see a see again and will be seeing my PSE girl I met at newlife on my first trip in the evening. Beyond that we will see.

Your experience should serve as a reminder that when you least expect it, you can become a target in Medellin, not only in El Centro, but in Poblado as well, which has been brought up many, many times before on this thread.
You can never become complacent, meaning let your guard down.

I did break free and got away, scratched up but otherwise ok.
I speak Spanish and informed the police there in the plaza, but they gave ZERO fucks.

There are the bars and strip clubs north of Plaza Botero between DeGreif and the Metro. There's Barro Ejecutivo. There's Mercado de la Playa and a few open restaurants and that's about it. If someone is interested in going to one of those areas, then go there. There's nothing to be gained from just walking around randomly in El Centro at night.
