Did anyone hear about protests in Colombia? I have heard that they are celebrating one year anniversary of past protests and have multiple traffic jams, street closures. Last may, I was in Medellin and Bogota during protests and things were dangerous for foreigners. I am planning to visit in next two weeks, a feed back will be really helpful.

Don't know about them being dangerous to foreigners, but here in Bogota they were covering up the facades of the government buildings in expectation of the protests today. There were already a couple of buildings with splashes of green and red paint I guess from previous protests. The presidential election is 1 month away. The chick that I am with said the protesting these days is because the president is assisting the FARC.

My earlier post on 4/28/22 about guest fees.

The cycle the hotel uses to track you guest numbers is from check-out time to check-in time. Why is this important? For example, a morning wood visit that ends by 10 AM with check-out being at 1 PM, followed by an afternoon visit around 4 PM would be counted as one visit per cycle even though they both occurred on the same day. If you booked the double rate both would be free.

Conversely, after that same 4 PM visit, any chica who arrives before the 1 PM check-out time the next day, you are going to pay for because now you have seen two chicas during the same cycle.

If you are paying attention, then you should be wondering about the chicas you bang in between check-out and check-in times. Yes, that can get a little murky. This will also be the time when the relationships you have established with the hotel staff bubble up to the surface.

If you were a decent customer who (gasp) even tipped on occasion, then you can probably count this chica in the way that favors you the most. If you've been an Ugly American, then count on the hotel tallying the chica against you, if there's even a difference.

Also, I wrote 5. 000 mil COP for an example of the cheapest joiner fee I had seen, which should have been either 5.000 or 5 mil but not both which is redundant, and equal to $1.25 USD.

I'm thinking of going to Medellin in the next six months but am having a little problem with this forum's layout and finding questions. I'll ask some questions here and if there's a post or thread this is answered then if you could let me know where that is I'd really appreciate it.

I'll try not to ask too many questions at once and will break it up.

I'm looking to stay at a hotel / complex that has alright security, is guest friendly (multiple and no questions asked), and is near a good place to monger. For under $100 ideally.

One place mentioned was Poblado at Haven Suites.

This FKK discussion is pretty interesting, it really demonstrates the polar opposites of mongers and what they look for.

For any monger who hasn't visited a FKK, I do strongly recommend the trip at least once. You pay an entry fee for full day and, in the better houses such as Golden Time, you get free roam when it comes to the food and alcohol (local beer only, but included in the price). And you are in the company of naked women the whole day, with access to jaccuzi, sauna and even porn cinema.

If that's what you look for in an experience, great. But the parties are largely mechanical. Yes, the women are stunning. I'd say approximately 90% are from Romania, so don't come expecting a harem of blonde haired, blue-eyed beauties. Also, don't expect any kind of GFE at all. If you are into GFE, you will almost certainly leave disappointed. But it is not impossible. Lots of locals visit on a weekly basis, so you are up against strong, local, regular competition.

But it is still quite an experience. For info, notable houses are Golden Time (daytime), Living Room, Oase, Sharks, Acapulco, and my personal favourite Babylon in Elsdorf. They were fun at the time, but there were also lots of frustrating experiences. As I get older, I place more value on GFE. But if you are still in a PSE phase, there's probably nowhere better.

Like every place sometimes it's worth building rapport and be friendly with people. I always talk to the receptionists / managers and always tip them. I also always leave a tip on the bed for the cleaning people, so I always smiles, info I need from anyone. There were many late nights when I'm entering they didn't even let me check in the girls, just a signal to go straight to elevator, especially when other people are waiting for help. Not recommended for everyone unless you trust the girls, since having their cedula pic taken or held protects you. But I'm not a typical monger. I even befriend cops, locals, etc. I do that in every country.

I wouldn't let your lack of Spanish deter you from coming.

Lots of guys come down here not speaking Spanish and seem to survive, albeit it can be a challenge.

If your going to casa's and bars with girls not a problem as it's going to be a short time encounter so talking won't really matter.

And you should be able to do okay with the Fayboo girls using a translator.

Lots of advice here, especially by JB2 as to the things to say, and ask, and get totally clarified with the Fayboo girls if that is how you plan to monger.

The reality is very few people speak English in Colombia, and you might encounter some that speak English in Lleras, or other venues, but typically how it's handled here by the non-Spanish speaking mongers is that they use a translator on a phone.

I've seen this many times, and albeit there can be misunderstandings, most guys seem to do okay.

And unless you speak Spanish, small talk with these girls can be a waste of time, and won't last long so I wouldn't let this drive your decision as to whether or not to come.

A lot of the girls used to congregate inside the park, so you would find them there. However, I always saw better options on the surrounding streets.

Walked around Lleras Park today and stopped at the construction trailer and talked with the Construction Superintendent regarding the activities and saw a rendering of what the Park will be like when completed. In essence they will be grading the terrain inside and instead of having as much open ground they will have more walking areas within the park than before, so more people can be inside the park. They are putting in a new drainage system along with a lot of new pavers.

As far as when it will be done, I was told at least six more months, and apparently there was a delay of few weeks but my Spanish wasn't good enough to fully understand what was the cause of delay, it sounded like a utility or something sub-surface needed to be re-routed to install the new sub-surface storm drain system.

So at six to seven months, the earliest would be September or October when it re-opens, but I'm not holding my breath.

Again they should of been doing this project a year ago, as it's going to be a while before the surrounding eateries are re-established and things get back to the way it was prior to the Pandemic.

There used to be a Cuban place on the downhill corner with good Mojitos and great Cuban beans that has recently re-opened as what looks like to now be a Hookah bar.

All us non-Spanish speakers started out the same way, lots of Google Translate, lots of waving arms and sign language, jaja. Sex is the universal language, and money makes it happen. Very few mongers including me are motivated enough to dedicate themselves to learning Spanish before they arrive. Jump in and get both your feet wet like most of did and that just makes it easier for the next time. This is one time when you don't want to defer gratification.

Don't underestimate the value of 3 X 5 cards with Spanish phrases you write on them. Anytime you write a question make sure it can be answered with a simple yes or no. Google Translate has a "save" feature that allows you quickly pull up your favorite phrases. I used to have seven or eight "go to" phrases saved. Practice saying them, and try to remember them before you pull them up each time and you may surprise yourself with how quickly you can get functional for sexual encounters.

English speaking sex workers are too rare to make that a practical choice. Instead concentrate on getting her into a sexual position where language is basically not necessary. I suggest you learn the words for, faster, slower, harder, softer, and you will have a good time, jajajaja. Ostee Out.

So the girls who were in the park got displaced by construction but are probably still there and essentially the real action is outside and near the park.

The reason I even posted on a topic about which I had little direct experience was because I saw a well-meaning post from a newbie telling other mongers to stay away from Park Lleras (I don't even know if I am spelling that right) and I thought that was overkill. I would hate to see a guy alter his vacation plans because of that suggestion.

I may come across as self-absorbed and overly prolific here, but really I have my fellow monger's best interests in mind. We all are biased and get misguided at times.

I'll be back in my beloved Medellin soon. So far, so good at the set-ups that are supposedly falling in place, but in Medellin it's better not to plan. I was at the point during my last stay there that I literally did not plan a day ahead for months, I let each day form itself after I woke up, and Medellin did not disappoint.

The dominant majority of hotels who allow guests charge a fee, which varies widely. The cheapest I ever paid was 5. 000 mil COP and I think the most expensive was 80.000 and I have heard higher in Poblado, another reason I avoid the place.

I know of a couple of nice places that allow guests and don't charge. Don't ask.

If you book the double rate at La Dorado, you get one freebie per cycle, defined as from check-in to check out time. That should hold true at most properties but I have had to negotiate it once or twice.

After that it was somewhere around 50 mil COP per chica, I want to say 52 or maybe 46 or maybe it changed since I was there but close enough.

Depends on who's working the desk, depends on how busy they are, depends if they like you, depends if you tipped the security guy who stands next to the elevators, but I used to tell my girls to walk in like they owned the place and go directly to the elevators, don't make eye contact with the front desk, and do directly to my room. About 75% of them made it up without a charge, especially during the day. Depended on the chica, too. The more timid types folded quicker. The seasoned pros gave an attitude that intimidated the staff. Jaja, Secret never got stopped once because she knows how to look indignant, confident, and a little dangerous. Plus, she didn't give a shit if she was caught and that can be the difference.

There is also a bar on the roof and during the hours the rooftop bar is open the chicas can say they are going to the bar. Paranoid types still worry the front desk will track the girls on camera but in my experience, staff don't watch cameras.

With that said, I would tell my girls to get off the elevator one floor above or below my floor, as an extra precaution.

The worst thing that happens is you get caught and pay the joiner fee. Big deal.
