Thanks to the forum I've got a basic plan down.

I plan on going to MDE for a week in late August.

I'll take a White cab from the airport to the hotel.

I plan on staying at Hotel Poblado Alejandria Carrera. It looks nice and I think is guest friendly.

There are casas that you can get a massage and meet a prepagos, a couple good ones are Fantasia Energy and New Life.

I've been friending women in Columbia on Facebook and will message them when it gets closer to my trip.

I've also looked on Photoprepagos and Skokka for others.

There are some good strip clubs like La Isla Strip club and Gustos.

I will pay 300 mil for someone I find attractive, but I don't think more than that.

I remember that last citywide shutdown. It was more of a rolling blackout type situation. If I remember right the water went off barrio by barrio until it was gone completely overnight. All kinds of brown shit came out of the taps for most of the next day. This time it's not supposed to affect the entire city but the list of barrios was pretty extensive. Some barrios I did not see on the list are LOS Colores, Buenos Aires, Santo Domingo and the Bello / La Toscana / La Gabriela triangle. I don't really know what sort of preparation is best. Shower early I guess.

From what I know having spent time in Latin American countries many decades ago, this type of water shutdown is normal. Homes are built with tanks that hold a lot of water for this type of issue, I'm not sure if this is common in Medellin too. It appears they will be doing inspection work and maintenance in their main aqueduct system that feeds the main areas of the city. You can read it here:

It's broken down by Zone. And BTW according to their plan the water shut down begins at 10:00 am on Saturday, through Sunday evening. They recommend spending the days somewhere else if you can, and to hoard water starting today, since the water pressure will begin to weaken starting tomorrow. Good luck!

She sounds legit, impossible to know for sure from this distance. You didn't mention where you were going to meet. If you're really worried, meet her at high-end love motel like Thematic Suites. Yes, her price is a bit below fair market value but not by much, I pay new chicas 300 for overnights. More than likely if you run over a few hours she will tell you she needs more money to stay the night. I don't see any major red flags (famous last words, jeje). A lot of these chicas will say just about anything to get inside a room with you naked, then try to renegotiate. I have some friendly advice and a request for the newbies when talking to paisas on Facebook. Please be subtle about what you want especially with the chicas that don't have a million gringo or prepago friends. Don't just ask every chica how much to suck your dick or get fucked in the ass right off the bat. If you take the time to chat with them they will make it pretty clear if they are looking for money for sex or not. In contrast she may be non or semipro if 1) MOST IMPORTANTLY she is happy to chat with you a lot and wants to learn about you and your life and tell you about her life, 2) she doesn't have loads of monger friends, though maybe a few, 3) she has lots of pictures of her family and friends on her page, 4) she may have work outfits on in pictures, 5) she may have a higher ratio of girls liking her photos, 6) posts from grandmas, aunts, close family on her page.

My BIG disclaimer would be none of these signs are perfect on their own. But once you see multiple of these signs together you can start to be more confident about how direct to be.

Anyway, I'm excited to be back in Medellin again soon and to see how the prospects I've been lining up work out.

As far as I am concerned, I have been to the best steakhouse in the world, Bern's in Tampa, Florida. Playboy magazine agrees with me. If you follow up on their Website read "Their story", it is the quintessential American dream. Mrs. Bern just died in 2022, but their son carries on the business.

Been awhile since I have been to Bern's, but I recall you order by cut and weight of steak. ...... Today is Independence Day, a national holiday, and more storefronts are closed than usual compared to most other holidays which usually seem to occur on a Monday. Depending on how you count them, and including religious holidays, Colombia has among the most if not the most national holidays of any country in the world. I say that is one of the reasons people here seem so chill.....

Osteo's right about Colombia as the Land of the Never-Ending Fiestas. Last weekend when I arrived at the airport, my driver showed up with colored streamers tied to his car. When I asked him if he was coming from a wedding, he said no, it's the "the día de la Virgen del Carmen", patrona de los conductors (the day of Virgin Carmen, patron of the transport workers). One wonders if Colombia reserves a patron virgin day holiday for each of the professions: "el día de los abogados" (lawyers) or "de los manicuras". Or "día de las putas" for that matter.

Then yesterday morning (in search of fresh talent to refresh my depleted chica stable) I decided to make the rounds of the El Centro casas only to find that Zandalay, Casa Cuba, and New Life (and Fantasia Energy in Estadio) were all shuttered up for Independence Day. Took 2 amigas out clubbing last night in Manrique la 45 on Colombian Independence Day. You would think the parties should be the day before, but nope these paisas keep the rumba going like there's no tomorrow. One amiga lives in Aranjuez by la 92, which is their zona rosa. When I went to pick her up, that area was popping and hot paisas in every corner omfg, definitely need to go back and take a closer look jajaja. Hit up Zenith Club in la 45. I was the only gringo there the whole time from 10 pm till 3 am. My body, especially my liver and nostrils definitely feeling the pain today. Saw a bunch of typical barrio dudes, but also a good amount of hot and spicy barrio chicas. Bottle service starts at 90 mil, can't beat that price.
