You clearly missed my heavy dose of sarcasm aimed at the conservative High School Prom Queen lover MB. He wrote "Poblado and Laureles got the best restaurants, bars and nightlife. Best hotels and apartments. Best cinemas and shopping malls. It makes no sense to go across the whole city to one of those barrios, let alone stay there, especially if a monger doesn't speak Spanish. I'm not new to MDE, but can't imagine myself partying in Aranjuez, why would I go there if I could party in Provenza and have fun? ".

Hence my question about why he would ever leave Florida if it had great restaurants, clubs and girls. He doesn't seem to appreciate that variety is the spice of life. He goes around life with his tape measure, judjing if things are up to his standard and stays only with what passes his peculiar criteria. Or so it seems to me from his hilarious comments.

    To Osteoknot

{ I know my lifestyle seems like a "high wire act" to some, but it's all relative. I wrote about my friend Crazy George in Medellin. I look like a monk compared to him. }.

Since I met you twice last month in MDE I can believe all the stuff you put out. What I have trouble with is this Crazy George being more loco than you. Ja Ja.

The concept is profound and deep and you have to digest it for a long time before it sinks in. At least it took me awhile to get it and I am generally a Quick Study. BTW, I am not saying you have to spend a lot of money to be loved.
I agree with the concept that love=money in Colombia.

Basically we are in the "pay-pool", and it can be very cheap indeed.

    Bogota vs Medellin Street Meat

    Boys,

I've been in Bogota for about a month and the prices / chicas are amazing. I'm transitioning to Medellin soon. How are the Medellin street girls prices in comparison to Bogota? Here it's no more than 100 mil pesos for everything.

Keep in mind that not all apartments are the same. Some are shared so your assumption won't work in all cases. They may feel more comfortable because they have more control but that does not mean they will provide better service or you will feel comfortable.

    September Trip Comments

I'd appreciate feedback on things that you didn't think of, but would have been useful on your trips. For example, we've seen a lot of discussion here lately about "bombillos". Do you bring snacks from home so that the girls can experience something from your home country? If so, what do you find is really popular with them? I've seen people mention bringing small gifts from like a Five Bellow, what did you buy there? Once complete, I'd be happy to share the spreadsheet with any board member who'd like it.
I am also going to be in Medellin for my first trip in the first week of September. I guess September must be newbie month. It's my first time in Colombia but I have been traveling to Guadalajara for the past year so I feel comfortable in a country that speaks Spanish even though I only speak some Spanish. That has always been my biggest concern about Colombia. But I have made some effort to learn more Spanish and now it is not the case that I don't speak any Spanish. And for Colombia, there is also local slang that you can learn.

I would minimize toiletries if space is an issue in your suitcase because you can buy whatever you need from the local drugstore or supermarket. Bringing mouthwash is a bad idea because it is liquid and may leak and mouthwash should be easy to buy in Medellin. The local drugstore and supermarket should have most of the items that you would find in your local stores. But bringing your condoms and your favorite lube is a good idea. Almost all decent hotels will provide soap, shampoo, small toiletries. This is based not on my experience in Medellin but my experiences traveling to other countries.

I do bring some gifts from home. Some guys think it is not necessary and it isn't but girls do appreciate the small gifts along with the money. It feel that makes them remember me a little bit more than the guy who just pays them money but I could be wrong.

Both types of bombillos I purchased doubled as Blue Tooth speakers

Not sure how many guys are aware of that dual functionality, the bombillos are also Blue Tooth speakers.

Don't know where are you from but it's a good idea to check power sockets compatibility. Copies of documents. Zipped wallet, preferably attached to the belt / jeans. Probably best to leave the jewellery at home. Burner phone. Downloaded files for offline google translate and maps. Libido. Comfy sneakers if you're into walking a lot. Light rain jacket or buy an umbrella locally. Long trousers / jeans unless you don't mind being identified as gringo from afar.

I wouldn't worry too much about the particular snacks, it's the gesture and the sharing that counts really and just treating the girls like human beings. Snacks are not obligatory either and I'm sure plenty of members monger successfully here without them. Just a nice touch and bit of bonding that can return dividends on the next visit.

Bombillos can be purchased locally, if needed (also not obligatory, hard to imagine you'll need more than one on a short trip, if that).

Don't know about gifts, one needs to be careful not to go over the top and appear supplicating. So with right delivery it can be fine but I just wouldn't worry to much about it on your first trip. Not necessary if you ask me.

What you will need or not depends largely on your mongering style / itinerary really.

Don't see Bluetooth speaker on the screenshot, this has been the biggest improvement in sessions for me here.

I don't know how's your Spanish, I was glad I knew the numbers and couple basic phrases before landing.

Not sure if the phone is sim-locked for Colombian service provider, if it is then you might need to find a tech-store that removes the simlocks and then you can put any service provider SIM card. Another option, if the Colombian service provider offers it, is to enable international / USA data roaming but this can get *very* expensive especially uploading / downloading a lot of data so better check the pricing if going that route.
Tried my Spectrum WiFi, no go. I tried the Bluetooth and made a connection to my laptop but all the Outbound transfers were "unsuccessful". I plugged a USB cable from my computer into the phone but all it does is indicate that it is charging. I believe the phone is SIM-locked as you wrote, which I why it stopped working when I left Colombia, I believe.

I agree, roaming charges would probably be exorbitant. I have a portable hard CD drive, maybe record it onto that and then transfer? I may need to get the phone unlocked. Or just live with the idea that I have fotos stuck on a fone. Wait until I return to Colombia and load them to the Cloud, which I should have done before I left. Hindsight being 20/20 and all that. Thanks again for your response!

Any suggestions? Wal-Mart? Kroeger? I won't be using it as my main phone but I'd like to upload the fotos on it to my Google Cloud. Any help appreciated, I am average tech-savy, probably less-so when it comes to phones.

    Taxi Ride Into Unknown

I was bored and horny Sunday so went hunting online. Found 20-year-old Chantal on Mileroticos who was offering an hour for 60 mil. Liked her looks, so entered her in contacts so I could Whatsapp. We made a date. I speak only minimal Spanish but with translator on laptop can text fine.

Took shower, chewed sildenafil and hurried to find taxi. 11 mil got me 4 km away in Laureles and 5 minutes early. Texted her. Chantal said wait a moment. Smoked and loitered, watched traffic on busy Av. San Juan. Considered surprises that might await me inside building.

Chantal texted apartment number. Pressed bell. Door unlocked. Climbed many stairs to her apartment. Old guy was keeping watch from open door near hers.

Chantal let me in, greeted me warmly and led me through kitchen to her bedroom. Not a sound but I suspected there were two or three other women in there.

Had to pay in advance. Undressed while she turned in money. Chantal returned, asked in her cheerful way if I wanted massage. Yes, I said, of penis. Got handjob and covered blowjob. Licked her too, which she liked. Fucked mish and doggie till tired. I am 72, have smoked a lifetime and don't have good wind.

Offered 20 mil for bareback blowjob. It was good enough to use up rest of time. We talked too, and I learned she was 21 now, studied law mornings and worked here 2-8 pm.

That was it. Tipped 20 mil and extra 10 mil for attitude. Chantal made sure coast was clear before escorting me to door and kissing goodbye. Surprise was how pleasant she was.

Backtracked and caught taxi home for 9. 6 mil.

    Greetings Surfer

    Hey bud,

Don't know if you remember but we chatted a while ago on one of the forums here. I don't have the premium so can't send PMs. We shared some experiences about our favorite places in Medellin, including the San Diego area and the Plaza Botero area. You gave me some friendly advice and I say I'd like to repay you with a beer someday. Well I'm heading to Medellin again in a few days. If you're there I still owe you that beer.

    Cali.
