What you are saying is that attractive girls = shitty service. This is not always the case. Ugly girls can provide shitty service as well. Service has nothing to do with how a girl looks. Service depends on various factors. Her attitude, vibes, chemistry between you and her, ambiance of the place / venue, etc. Guys who say hot girls provide shitty service just don't know any better, they don't have what it takes (game, looks, money, etc) to score a hottie, and not only to score, but to make her like or love them, because great sex can only be possible if there is a great connection. I happen to believe looks and performance have a correlation coefficient of zero. That means it's completely random but a lot of mongerers personalize, project, and are understandably biased about such experiences. I just submitted a post where I wrote about treating all girls the same regardless of their perceived level of attractiveness. I am a firm believer in this. I think I failed at my Facebook attempts for my week vacation. Maybe its different for Pensionado visa renewals. The Pensionado-Rentista renewal I got this summer is good for 2 years.

I assume it was only 2 years because after that, one should be eligible for the Resident instead of Migrant class of visa. Five years of M gets you an R. Five years of R and you become eligible for citizenship and a passport.

But I know other changes are coming into effect in Oct regarding property purchase visas. Currently if you spend above $150k you can get an R. After October you can only get an M. So its not a bad idea to buy property now and get the visa and a great exchange rate.

Probably the biggest change is with the Pensioners Visa. I know two guys that got them this year and they were only issued for a year versus three years under the new regulations. Also, regardless of the Visa you obtain, you must have Colombian Health Insurance, and that's a whole topic in itself.

And there is no longer a way someone can show up with approximately 250,000 $ USD, invest the money in a business or property, and within six months be a Colombian resident. Residency now requires being in Country five years before you can even apply for residency.

In your case, perhaps they will issue you a special "Mongering Visa."

I must be wearing rose-colored glasses. Love will do that to you. My chicas look gorgeous to me, jaajajaja and even more, they excite me sexually. Plus, I usually don't post with the intent of "look how beautiful my chica is". Sometimes I will talk about slapping some make-up, jewelry and fancy clothes on a chica to make her appear more like the Park Lleras type, but in general I don't think like that.

I also pay no-nevermind to the supposed correlation between looks and service. Personally, I think it's a myth with a zero coefficient, but I am not interested in debating that point. I treat all chicas the same, which includes respect.

My former training and profession as an artist means I can objectively assess "beauty" better than the average bear. Since I was under the impression that the new visa regs supposedly don't go into effect until late October. As with many things Colombian, what they say, what they write down, and what the do, can be three different things depending on the day of the week and where you are in the country, so I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

I have downloaded the Medellin map and there are a lot of locations in El Centro to ignore. Is it safe to walk down El Centro streets during the day going to all these locations without much issues with safety as long as I am careful or should I be taking a uber to these locations?

Are all the other locations outside of El Centro safe during the day? If you guys have recommendations of good value for money / great locations I would appreciate it.

This depends a lot on your street smarts and what you're comfortable with. There is lots of homelessness, poverty, and open drug use in the area. If you've seen that in your hometown and are okay navigating that, you should be okay in El Centro too. That said, not speaking any of the language puts you at a huge disadvantage. There are tourists and plenty of police in El Centro during daytime hours. Parts are very safe but the fringes can get iffy.

I felt fine during the day walking about and visiting the casas in the area. I was fine after dark too but it did get deserted in some areas. My experience has been that Colombians and those in Medellin are not terribly aggressive and generally pretty nice. Map prices are probably pretty close, likely within 10 k.

There's always a risk of something going south no matter where you are. I'd say the casas are probably one of the safest routes to go, especially with no Spanish. I'd suggest trying to learn some basic phrases and getting familiar with a translation app.

Those were the day. Back 15 years ago and more, the Mansion had no night life, so you had to find your own. Mayorista was fun.
