What difference does it make? Everyone has their quotas on duty-free items. They obviously want you to buy the commercial products that also have export duties on them. There's no shortage of good coffee outside the US. If you want more than 350 g, ship it to yourself.

I saw a sign that said 350 grams, which is less than a pound was the allowable limit, and the one bag I had that was 450 grams was confiscated, yet the other bags which were under 350 grams and collectively weighed more than a couple of pounds were not.

So is there a reason why there's a 350 gram limit per bag?

I've never asked a chica from there if she would leave with me back to my hotel. I've collected lots of phone numbers from these chicas but never had the urge to invite one to my hotel on a different day since I can go fuck them for 70 mil pesos at the bar. But Surfer I've got to ask. What coffee is so great that you are bringing so much back to the states with you? I'm the opposite and bring my favorite coffee grounds with me wherever I'm flying in the world including Medellin. I also travel with my own coffee makers one is 110 v and the other 220 v. Yes my morning coffee is very important to me LOL.
