Posts: 4055I like the list. I don't think any of the points are unique to Colombia. That is what makes them so valuable. I am a little troubled by the thought that anyone needs to be advised to offer guests something to eat or drink, among other guidance. It makes me worry about what some of the interactions with the girls are like.

I've spent alot of time there this year. Several weeks ago, I wrote about an issue that occurred there that seriously impacted the girls admittance. When I visited a couple weeks ago, things were back to normal. This is pure speculation on my part but I do think that time period where girls were not allowed in without a scheduled date did really impact their occupancy rate. But as I said, things appear normal now.
I'm heading back to Medellin later this week. Staying in an airbnb this time but I do plan on visiting their bar at least 1 or 2 nights. If I hear of any other troubles, I'll update the board.

Posts: 112Good insights. I identify with a lot of your experiences and think you are on well on your way down the semi to nonpro path.
I wouldn't have paid Mariana in your last post unless she hinted / asked you for money or you are most comfortable paying her. It sounds to me like you stumbled onto a nonpro with her (I completely stumbled onto the nonpro facebook game by accident too and now its what I swear by).
Anyway, my thinking now is why pay if you don't have to? Lots of women will accept your money but that doesn't mean they expect you to pay and you may find you piss a few off by offering them payment. They will make it clear if they do want money. I've found semipros ask for a "regalito" followed by "da me lo que quieres" or an amount or they mention needing help with some expense they have like a sick kid. I'll give them 150 or 200 k in those cases.
Otherwise in terms of your observations, some girls who contact you first are cool too. Just chat with them and feel them out. I'd judge them based on how they comunicate and their photos more than who makes the first move. Maybe I like the flattery, but it's fun to get the "papsito" and "eres muy lindo" messages.
I also agree that setting a datelike mood and being sexually generous leads to the best results.
Finally I agree speaking Spanish reaps huge dividends as well as being observant of and reactive to the women, which it sounds like you were.

Do not pay in dollars. For most people tge best rate comes from bo fee ATMs. Depending on their bank some people can get a better rate from a money exchange, but not ine at the airport.
Many Colombians will omit the mil when talking price. It's always a good idea to confirm she's talking mil pesos and not dollars. Paying $200 when you think you'll only be paying $40 is a headache you don't want.

A lot of this has already been mentioned on the forum but wanted to share some learnings based on my recent experiences.
1. Add as many girls on FB as interest you about a month before your trip. I started a week before and am only starting to see the real dividends now (girls adding me, lots of acceptances).
2. Just message a girl the day you want her. If she isn't available, say it's ok and look to schedule some time later. No need to message her a month before your trip.
3. On FB, if a girl brings up a price, she's probably not worth it. All my best experiences were with girls who didn't bring up price in our conversations.
4. If a girls messages you first, she's probably not worth it.
5. When a girl comes over, offer her a beverage of her choice, it helps them relax and breaks the ice before you start talking.
6. The more spanish you know the better. My Spanish is probably B1 level but I still stumble over words. If you are fluent, you can develop a strong connection like some of the legends of this forum have (ex. RiceRocket). Learn some flirty phrases and just be chill overall.
7. Play some music while the girl is around. Colombians love music. Preferably something latino. I have had girls play Bad Bunny, Feid and some other artists. Once the girl is comfortable she will change the music to her favorite artist herself. The music also leads to dancing which is a great natural lead-up to the bedroom.
8. I have found doing some DATY early yields results and helps get the girl in the mood.
9. Make sure to have a clean towel ready for the girl. It's just polite. I always ask them to give it back to me so I can put it in the washer so they know I clean it after each use.
10. When discussing common topics the answers are. This is not my first time here. I love Medellin. I don't bring many chicas here (with a coy smile). I have have both Colombian and foreign friends here. I will be here for 1+ months more.
Disclaimer 1: These are just my observations and what's worked for me. Naturally, other people have their own methods.
Disclaimer 2: Mongering in Medellin takes a different flow from everywhere else I have been. It's more like dating in that the more you put into it the more you get out of it. If you have significant free time and are interested in having a number of what are basically "girlfriends", it is really good. These girls are more than happy to treat it like an actual relationship.

Note that this report is a bit delayed. I wrote it up but didn't post it. I already had a ticket to go to Rio when I had this experience so I wasn't going to get much more in Medellin on this trip anyways.
I finally am starting to understand why people swear by Medellin. Today I met Mariana who was the best FB Chica of the trip. I messaged her on FB and we couldn't meet on Monday because she had to take care of her kids. She offered for me to come over so we could talk which was surprisingly sweet but I declined since I'm not looking for a chica wife at this time. We ended up rescheduling for Wednesday. She was very prompt in her responses. I never had to wait more than 20 minutes for one and usually it was in a minute or two. No price negotiations on FB, the only ask she had was that I pay for her taxi. She came over at the agreed time (well, about 10 minutes late but that is early by Chica time) and we sat and talked for a bit. She definitely has some imperfections that were airbrushed in her FB pictures but she is thin, A-cups, blonde, and generally good looking. Not a model but probably a decent GND type. It may also be that are FB pictures are right but she just didn't have makeup on since she said she just came from the gym. She is 25 but had her first kid at 17 and raises her kids full time. She We had rather good chemistry and danced a bit while stripping and doing some foreplay in the bedroom. Did some DFK, DATY, BBBJ, and a couple positions before I came. She asked to take a shower and I got dressed. After which she sat next to me on the sofa and listened to some music. She asked if I wanted to do anything else to which I declined because I have work tomorrow morning but she also asked if I wanted to go to a salsa club we talked about during the weekend. She ended up calling a taxi and I paid her standard FB rate mas taxi. If I improve my Spanish, I could definitely get used to this.

TSA does have a rule that pertains to carry on of powdered or ground materials and so I'm assuming that would be the reason. It's a pain in the neck for sure.

I haven't tried Matiz #9 but will look for it. I like bold. I'm not familiar with any Starbucks brewed coffees but I love McDs coffee LOL.
When I'm in SE Asia longer than my coffee grounds survive I do go to Starbucks and buy Colombian coffee beans. I bring my USA grounds and ask them to match that courseness. Actually I probably like that Starbuck's Colombia coffee better than my daily coffee in USA but it's a tad expensive for daily use at home.

Posts: 4055TSA does not operate in Colombia. Colombia is where the coffee was confiscated. As I wrote in another post, it is Spirit Airlines that confiscated the coffee.

Posts: 4055I don't live in the USA It makes no difference to me. It was a minor one time inconvenience. The 350 gram limit is a Spirit Airlines rule. That explains why you can buy as much coffee as you like right in front of the boarding gates and bring it onto the plane. It also explains why it doesn't get confiscated at the x-ray machines in the primary security area. Since Surfer reminded me of it happening to me I remember the Spirit gate agent told me it is their rule and it applies to any packaged goods, coffee or whatever else.

Posts: 62Hotel M aka Medellin Mansion
I've been staying there going back to 2006. I also do Airbnb.
I just messaged what I thought was Alexa, to see about availability next month.
The reply I got was from Geraldine?
I'm wondering if that's the same geraldine AKA Demi Moore from back in the day, that's now possibly working at M1 in the Office??
Anyone on here that's been to M1 lately, who has been going there for years might know the answer!
I'm guessing Alexa is no longer there. What a shame because she was such a sweetheart.
Quite a bit of availability at M1 for next month, kinda surprising Hmmmm.
