Many posters on ISG believe that the lower they rate a girl the higher their tastes would appear to be so I conducted an experiment by posting a photo of a former Miss Colombia to confirm just that. You had mfs rating her 4 and what not. My rating is a 7 and possibly higher if I see her in real life.

So it looks like our thinking on this isn't so different after all! LMFAO! Including on how some guys go about rating optics, and why they do what they do. They will deny it, but I've lived long enough to understand and recognize a lot about human behavior. And then when they find out it's Miss Colombia they cry foul and say you tricked us! LOLOLOL!

This is just a ridiculous claim. No one's taste is 'higher' pr 'lower', simply different.

...For what it is worth though, my favorite Medellin find was a five foot, 115 pound gal who was more cute than hot who was an absolute tiger in the sheets, and she had a great personality. She was not the type with a line out the door but she would have had one if guys knew how good in bed she was....

Sounds like you spent your time in El Centro which is the arm pit of Medellin. How someone can generalize the entire city of Medellin from staying in that area is beyond me. I have been traveling to Medellin for the last 6 years. I go there alone every 2 to 3 months and stay several weeks or more at a time. I stay in Laureles at a 4 star hotel that offers everything I need at an economical price. I take long walks in the area (parque laureles) and never had an issue. I have friends that are expats living in the area that can tell you the same thing. None of which find the need to venture to the cesspool known as El Centro where you will run into the kind of trouble you described.

Your generalization is as unfair as the one you're complaining about.

I've wore out 2 pairs of shoes walking around Medellin. I'd guess I've covered more territory than most. Tourists have been assaulted and robbed, or drugged and robbed in Laureles and Poblado, as much or more than in El Centro.

Let's get it straight, El Centro is not for everyone, especially now when it's jam packed with shoppers. If large crowds bother you, or if seeing people sleeping on the street bothers you, you will be uncomfortable. There's a lot of noise and activity, which can be intimidating. There are always guys trying to get you into their store, restaurant or club. There are beggars and people selling everything. And mixed in are people who will pick your pockets if given the chance.

However, it's also vibrant, filled with normal, friendly people. It's the heart of the city and something everyone should experience. Afterwards you can run back to Laureles or Poblado, lock your doors, take a shower and make up stories about how brave you were to stick your hand into the jaws of death.

Certainly there are risks. Just last night I walked out of Grill Nueva Avenida and a guy with a tray of candy started bumping against me. He was trying to distract me so he could slip my phone from my front pocket. I caught him at it, stuffed my phone back and he backed up. No violence or threat to my life. Just a look of fear when I caught him and a look of relief when I didn't start yelling.

Anyone knows a safe and girlfriendly hotel or apartment?

There are so many choices but its difficult to choose.

My requests:

- max $60 a night.

- safe / security.

- girlfriendly.

- Laureles.

- 3/4 star.

- some view will be nice (terrace not needed).

Also if anyone goes there in February / March / April, let me know. Would be nice to hit El Centro together to get some numero de telefonos.

I myself just ask them straight up if they are a female companion, I use the I'd like to take you to dinner approach because I do want to visit some nice restaurants while I'm there either way and I tell them if I like them and they like me we can agree to a price to go back to my place after our night out. I tell them I like to be honest and direct about what I want so we both don't waste our time. Let's be real these girls no the game. So far all the ones I've contacted have told me they are indeed companions and would love to see me.

I gave them cash after I finished. I suppose some might be okay with gifts but I'm not looking to get into any arguments with an angry girl over $60-$80. I also did bring a few gifts which I gave away as a surprise to the best performers, both to reward them and because I'd be interested in seeing them in the future. There's been some discussion here about girls wanting money upfront sometimes; I didn't experience that. But maybe if you're staying in a less nice apartment that's more likely.

There's no one correct approach so everyone's welcome to approach this however they want. The reason I wasn't as direct in Colombia is there's a mix of pros and semi-pros and I wanted to be welcoming to both. Given it seemed to be about half and half between girls who brought up money, there clearly are plenty of girls who either prefer not to discuss it or think there are men who prefer not to. But I doubt there are a lot of semi-pros who clutch their pearls at men who are super direct.

My recollection was the bags and boxes had sticker seals from the restaurants but I'm not 100% certain. That wasn't something I was concerned with as I don't think there's much incentive for anyone to screw with the food. The restaurants want repeat business and if the food is tampered with Rappi has the info of the delivery people. But if you're concerned about that, it's easy to catch an Uber or inDriver to a nice restaurant.

Medellin is a well-designed city with an ideal climate. Prices are quite affordable compared with most worldwide destinaciones. The prepagos scene has good variety to keep everyone happy. Culturally sex is more conservative so you won't see the craziness apparent in locations across East Asia or Europe. El Centro area may provide a more toned-down version of Bangkok for certain individuals. If you're obviously an expat this is not the best advice.

Safety was the biggest concern by far spending a few weeks in Medellin. If you're a white guy you will stand out in a bad way. I did have some minor scuffles in my stay from very aggressive junkies after the sun set. If you are not in very good shape and sober with at least workable Spanish I would not recommend going out alone in Medellin, something I did the entire trip. Everyone from locals to larger middle-aged black American guys thought I was unwise coming alone. I always had a concern any time I was out in public anywhere in the city at any time. My astuteness and aggressive defense when junkies tried to get close I think kept me safe from a stabbing or other robbery attempt. Locals agreed it is acceptable to physically threaten street trash of which I had to do a few times, unfortunately. If you're not ready to throw hands or kicks or run at a moments notice Medellin is not the best place for a solo foreign traveler. Strolling around border towns in the evening in Mexico is a walk in the park compared to this city...

Most sessions I took the 30 minute (media hora) option. It was 50 k COP ( 10 USD) at Sandalay and 60 at New Life ( 13 USD) which included CBJ with vaginal sex. With good girls I would take the hour option for 22 USD. You are not pressured to drink, buy girls drink, eat, or upsell on services in the room. Never once did I have any pressure or had any bullshit pulled by staff or the girls. Also nicer than Mexico in that all positions and full nude are included in the same price. Never understood why in Mexico girls want another 5 USD for a different position or clothing configuration. No such games in Colombia.

I'm not knocking you in any way to each his own, Just wanted to point out to the other members of this forum that this is a perfect example of how not everyone can relate. I don't even have to guess what age group the OP is in because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be too far off but he mentioned quality with the above sessions which for him I'm sure he was being honest. But for me and other like minded individuals, the thought of paying a girl to sell her body to me for less than what it costs to buy a pizza would be very depressing for me and not be enjoyable (as of right now). There are plenty of guys who claim the more you pay, the worse the sex. That's not true, unless you're approaching with the idea that paying more equals better service.

Everything you said is true, however don't forget it goes both ways. Just like you said something can happen and cause her to change her mood, same thing can happen when you choose to negotiate. The more you negotiate the dryer she could become. From my experiences "outside" of medellin iv'e had no complaints and been happy with what I get, I'm not worried at all or feel I need luck in medellin. Not to mention I'm latino and speak fluent spanish. I'm just stating "typically" the more you pay the better quality of service you get and that's with anything you buy. Like I said for me it's been rewarding but to each his own.

My general approach was if they asked about money, I'd specifically outline what I wanted and what I'd pay. If they didn't ask, I didn't bring up any services. I think some of them like the artifice of meeting a guy for a date and being given a gift at the end as opposed to being explicit about taking money for sex. Either way was fine by me. And I had no problems with the girls who didn't bring up anything. We just chatted, fucked, and they accepted what I gave them at the end gratefully.

Two miscellaneous notes. Rappi is great. Cheap prices and the drivers get there quick because they ride around on motorbikes to avoid the car congestion.
