I was told that the area behind the Botero museum and the Raudel area are part of a designated zona de tolerencia. It is a zoning designation, not sure if there are any others in Medellin, but I expect there may be.

I'm Colombia prostitution is legal anywhere you go. There are no designated zones where it is legal on one street and illegal on another. There are however areas set up with short time hoteles and certain parks and plazas where chicas tend to congregate, such as santa fe in bogotá and botero plaza in medellin but there is not law designating them to those particular places. You will find that you can find swers in many places.

For safety, look for this sign, and only go to the short time hotel where you can see this sign from the entrance. There are 4. Same for picking up SG, don't go too far away that you can's see this sign. This is only if you don't know what you are doing or where you should go and worry about safety.

To me mistake #1 is dealing with Centro street girls as many are working illegally and with fake documents if they have any at all. Plus the areas around Botero Plaza are plenty dangerous, even in the day. I've never gotten services that way, nor will I as so much could go wrong. But, seeing that you known about the game there, and purport to know the rules, is advance payment the norm upon entering the room? Can someone else chime in?

Also, in virtually any venue it's acceptable to cancel an appointment if the fun hasn't started yet. The girl may ask for some money for her "time" but would typically expect far less than the full fee. But if she wants to make a scene, and it's only 30 mil, would be better to pay her off. I am getting ready for the upcoming trip to Medellin and I'm excited about it. This is my third trip to Medellin and I have learned a lot during my first two trips. On my first trip, I made a few mistakes and was unfamiliar with the layout of the city. Most newbies will make mistakes. I wouldn't worry about it except the drugging and robbery thing. There are many ways to approach Medellin. Some like El Centro and the streetwalkers and casas. Some like Tinder or Seeking. You would need to watch out for pickpockets, hit and run robberies, and walking around in more isolated streets, just like any other sketchy neighborhood in any country.

I have visited El Centro and I was fine but I walk around with a high level of awareness of my surroundings in El Centro.

Nobody said anything about casas. The guy asked about his risk of being drugged and robbed when going to a ST room with a street girl.

As for the casas, 5 years ago there were some guys hanging out near the casas stopping and robbing gringos as they left the casa. At least one of them would claim to be with the police. Several ISG members had encounters with the guy. New Life and some other casas posted pictures and warnings about the risk.
